The Fellowship Halls (Fellowship of the Ring Empire Thread)

Welcome to the Fellowship of the Ring Empire Thread - The Sequel. :)

The old FotR thread was getting too big and it was taking too long to load the thread, thus this new one.

Since this is the first post, I will reproduce some of the more important links for our Empire.

Do dogs return to their vomit? Not voluntarily, I'm guessing. Especially not if that vomit contains spam.
End of quote

Actually, I don't think most self respecting dogs would even eat Spam! I mean, I know they lick their own butts and all, but come on ....... Spam! LOL LOL

J.T.Qwerk,

Have fun with your own empire. :)

And farewell too to Goblin Cookie. I guess the best way to take down the Special Forces was to join them eh? ;)

Do you have a dog? My dog always licks up most of his vomit.
Nope, I don't.

I'm not doubting you, but that makes no sense to me... why would any animal do that? If something is vomited up it's presumably because there was something in the stomach that was really bad for the animal. Bringing it back into the stomach seems like the last thing you'd want to do.

How often does your dog vomit?

I have a cat who thinks its a dog..

Its o togh even though it has catfood.. It goes and eats the dogs food...

whats worse is that the dog just lets it...

BTW... a lot of animals will eat their own vomit, poo etc... as well as excreations from others in their packs so that predators have a harder time finding them... Its an Instinctive Behavour... They are probably saying to themselves "why do I have to eat it again... its not goinbg to taste better the third time through..." LOL

Interesting. But why put it out in the first place if you're just going to take it back in?

I remember...

the GOOD OLD DAYS when the Fellowship halls were a place of strategy, tactics. Discussions on the future of artificial intelligence. Expositions on fine literature and culture.

Now...Spam and vomit.

Oh, Ray, RAY! Your flock of kindly little hobbits flail mindlessly in your absence. Bereft of leadership, they cast about for topics awkwardly. Spam! Good heavens, SPAM! The humanity! OH, THE HUMANITY!

(hic)

Umm, sorry...still in officially-approved Special Forces Drinking Mode...anybody know what day it is? For that matter, anybody know what WEEK it is?

We now return this thread to its exciting ongoing discussion of processed meat products and semi-digested canine foodstuffs.

Not very often.

As for why animals do that, I have no clue.

Ok. Enough of SPAM and vomit.

Has everyone tried the Maxtipherous 60k game cranking method discussed in the strategy forum? It provides an interesting new perspective, at least for the moment.

I just finished a 60k mpts game in 5 hours of actual computer time but I take breaks every hour or two so this was over 2 days. It has taken me 20 or 30 hours to play a gigantic maso in the past.

So if you have played most every strategy you can think of, it is fun to play a speed game to hit the cap. This is especially true now that we dropped back below 4 million. :D

Good luck to BlueSteel and GoblinCookie. Thanks for being a ringer. You are welcome to rejoin at any time. :)

I played my last game that way to see what it was like. It was quite quick (under 3 hours), but I personally didn't enjoy it much--there's so much constructor management! I agree, though, that others might want to give it a try to see if they enjoy it or if it improves their game. Matthew Downie is pretty enthusiastic.

It doesn’t matter that you think you may know the identity of the FotR Spy because if the weapon has been deployed all on board will suffer a slow, painful (and smelly) death. No one survives the secret weapon! :sniff!: :sniff!:

Hey gang. I was called out of town on business yesterday, so I'm just returning. I managed to submit a littel morsel before I left, though. I think all I've got time for anymore is Small maps. :(

Things have most certainly gotten closer. There's now a three-way race for 1st place, with SpecFor and the Euros chasing us. Fight on, friends!

By the way, I leave for one day and the conversation goes to dogs eating puke? EWWWWWWW!! :D

There is no escape from the weapon. Death (or living the rest of your life with that smell in your nostrils) is eminent. You might as well say your goodbyes right now! LOL LOL
