Might as well get things rolling for the newest patch. And to start things off, it seems that the AI is not bound to the new starbase rules--in my first 1.11 game I found that the Drengins had constructed a group of starbases, with two of them closer than the new rules allow (one was a tile to the right and two above the other--a position that the rules prohibited me from duplicating).

The bugs caused by the starbase distance limit should be fixed in 1.12

Hi,
I was in the middle of a painful tiny game and it was getting towards the end game. There was only one other major around and me. I was starting to build up the military, when there was an Allied Victory declared. Interesting as I made sure to not make any alliances.
Just one for the smart people to think about. I still have the save game if interested.

Hi carielf.
1.I was giving the yor collective techs and i gave them the same tech over and over again within the same turn. After three turns teh tech i gave them is still available for trade or gift giving.
2. ship ratings how are they supposed to work? because i think i found another bug....
3. the counter for counting the research the final frontier is messed up. the last digit keeps on disappearing.
i can send you my saved games but can you repeat teh instructions for doing so?

Ginata, maybe it's just too early in a morning when I haven't had any caffeine, but I'm having trouble visualizing how to reproduce the bug. So you open the ship list, then you start clicking on the button that sets an autopilot course for that ship. Are you multiple selecting ships, or is this happening for ships in fleets, or what?

Sorry Cari I'll try and explain it better . . .
Ok assuming you have some constructors and combat transports in your ship list (seen on the right hand side of the screen in your list of ships)
What I like to do to mobolize my fleets is to simply open that display (ship/fleet list) and click the arrow key for each ship (the little blue arrow for each ship pointing to the top right) which sends that ship to a circle seen in the middle of the main display (which I center using the big map for each location) for as many constructors as I need at each location all in a single turn.
What I have noticed is that if you click the little blue arrow on more than one ship type (say a combat transport after giving navigation orders to a number of constructors) it causes a CTD every time.
Its easy to just click on the other (non-constructor ships) by themselves (not using the ship list) and send them on thier way to avoid the CTD. So its not a big hassel but then again I play a culture bombing style so I don't have many millitary ships to worry about anyway.
I haven't seen this bug posted probably because the way I move ships around in the whole game makes exclusive use of the fleet list to send them anywhere(I find efficient) . . .
Otherwise, I have not had a single CTD since I reinstaled GC and upgraded straight to 1.11 (must have wiped a few bugs left over from each update I guess) which I think is great! The game runs much more quickly too! Great work!

In my game submitted on 11/13, my alignment was 50 or 51 throughout, and 51 at the end. It got scored as "chaotic good." "Neutral" would seem more logical. Sirian has reported similar experiences.

G'day,
I have a hard CTD to report. I start galciv and ask to restore last game and it crashes every time. Who/where should I send the saved game please?

Celeborne: The save game would be appreciated.
Rubberduckyzz: which ship ratings? I suspect that the counter problem is due to the font.
Hurley: you send it to me.
My e-mail is [email protected]
When sending me a save game, I need both the .sav file and the folder that has the same name as the .sav file. So if you're sending me the AutoSave game, that's AutoSave.sav and the AutoSave folder. Just zip the folder and attach it in an e-mail with the .sav file.
