Icon Packager 2.9

Anybody notice the new beta of IP on stardock central? Looks like they are finally working toward a new release of IP 3.0. Just installed it and I must say it looks nice, I like the updates.

Yep, I like it too.

damn, that update screwed up most of my icons systemwide. I did the reboot and most of my start panel icons are screwed and I can't fix them back. Almost all executable files are not even showing their own icons. This isn't good at all

First I noticed that Orion and Utopia icons doesn`t work ,so I change back to 2.5!

yeah, none of the marcintesh icons work either. I would strongly recommend uninstalling icon packager first and then installing this update

This is a simply horrific update. Utopia icons broken, and it refused to install any new packages, downloaded in .ip format, .zip format, or the bare .iptheme and .icl.

Back to 2.5 and no chance I am going to upgrade until I hear some official confirmation this is fixed.

I have to say that I don't have any of those problems. I just downloaded the top 2 IP themes from the WC and they installed and applied just fine. Plus my current theme is working fine also, the upgrade never even messed them up.

My guess is for right up to uninstall first and then install the new version. Remember it is a beta.

The previewing of some packages has been fixed internally.

BlueDev, Installing new packages is working fine here. Which packages were you  having problems with?

bagginz: Every package I tried. Most of the most recent ones such as Cryo 64 Ageo YQ and normal, Ti system, etc.

I had to completely and totally uninstall IP, reinstall the last release version and make the windows icons default. Then I installed the latest beta version and I don't seem to have any problems anymore.
