One Last Look

I'm taking this one last look,
back into your soul,
hoping to find one last speck,
of something, anything, that would make you whole.

Again with the pain expressed,
so hatefully through the mail,
when I can't see your crying eyes,
when all I feel is hell.

You come down like a thunderstorm, but
lost like a young rabit,
Wild eyed, frightened, and fragile.
If comes from the habit.

That we both share.
Of holding tight to our pride.
And getting nowhere.

Peace,

The pain we feel
Neither can explain
Trying to see the better
Through all this pain

Pride can kill the pain
But only for so long
It can also destroy what could have been,
And ruin someone else’s song

Is one ready to give up pride?
Ready speak what they really feel inside?

Maybe it’s hard to tell,
But with reassurance…

You’re not the only one who’s feeling hell.

There should be a "to" between "ready" and "speak". Sorry about that.

Gosh, I screw things up...

Two people,
Scared and afraid,
Wanting order,
A debt that must be paid.

Your anger, your hell,
Comes from resentment and fear,
If only you could talk without the pain,
Listen close and hear.

If assistance is what you need,
Then feel free to come and ask,
I look only to help and comfort,
And put what's happened in the past.
