When I Wake Up Ugly

Poem - (unedited)

The day I woke up ugly,
the bathroom mirror flicked me off,
I waited eagerly for it to fog.

I decided to hide,
hide behind unanswered phones,
hide behind low light.

I'm glad you woke up friendly,
your hands took a run through my ugly hair,
your eyes met my ugly stare.

I'm not sure what would've happened,
what wouldn't have,
what will be.

I hope it's next to you, when I wake up ugly.

That was fabulous... I have a feeling that a lot of people can relate.

Unfortunately, I wake up ugly every day. It's a curse of my family.

Unfortunately, I wake up ugly every day. It's a curse of my family. Also, I've never woken up next to Ted. Ever.

Well if you're who I think you are then neither of those things are true.

Long time back when I first read this post.
Being nosy sometimes, I happened to see a blue pad of paper with blue writing on it lying on your floor...
And it happened to be this post--
I knew I had read it somewhere...
And I archived to come across it here...and it has new meaning since the first time I read it.

you're the farthest from ugly when you wake up, babe...
when you're the first thing i see in the morn, i know its gonna be a good day, or at least start off as one
just know the feeling is mutual when I wake up looking like death warmed over...
cheers
