Having a great time with the game so far, however i've got some questions after playing for some hours. Firstly, what are fighters used for usually? Should i just always have bombers in the docking bay? Or is their strength only useful for capital ships? About fleets, i set my factory rally point on my starting capital ship but the ships that are getting built dont get into the fleet automatically, i have to select them all and Create Fleet every time, any easier way to automat

Couldn't agree more. The explosions in haegemonia were the best i've seen yet. Even if they dont have the resources to generate death animations for everything maybe some more debris would do the trick.
This is one of the most hilarious bug reports i have ever read. "Hey i`ve got a bug that means my whole country has this bug, nazi developers! I`m suing you!"
Ive got a 7900GS and ive got everything turned on including bloom and 2x multisampling and i get no slowdowns at all. Im using the 169.04 drivers on a windows xp 32-bit.
Yes it should, thats how vsync works. Its all multiples of your 60 divided by 2 each time. You can fix this by turning on triple buffering or turning off vsync.
This happened the first time i clicked on the tutorials. Its fixed if you click on them again.
Um, that sounds more like a card issue than anything else... Yes the problem with the card is that its too much for the game. Anyway, in the early versions of galciv2 brad wrote a whole developer report on this, all you need is to limit the fps.
I don't know if this has been mentioned but i always get a hanged system around 10 minutes in the game. The problem is im getting insane amounts of fps and my card overheats. GalCiv2 fixed this with having an option for frame rate throttling. I need to have vsync on to play it without hanging at the moment.
