alright well I'll keep that in mind. I didnt know the battle of the gods scenario gave you all the tech. I'll have to try that. But still I'm hoping stardock will say something. a base shipyard would make things easier, for designing and deleting old designs that pile up. It would also open the ship designing up without having to open a game.

you're completely right about the Torians, any game I have with them they always dominate and attack half the map. I do hate them, and even more so because they act all nice and peaceful. I am personally hell bent on destroying them. I do however particularly like the Drath. they have always gotten along with me.
not sure if it would be hard to do, but I know a lot of people are having fun just making ships and adding all the extras to them. and I look at the file with all the ships I've designed so far and its really accumulating. So maybe it would be possible to add the shipyard as a choice on the main menu at start up so people could just design a ship without getting into a game, and it could have every ship design, so that old models or designs you dont li
I always turn off the cultural victory in sandbox games. I wanted to just build up a military and destroy everything, but i couldnt get to that point worlds kept rebelling to me and I would give them back to the other civ. I almost always have cultural victories and I hate it when im trying to blow the crap out of something.
I think if you hit esc and bring up the menu there is the option on the left somewhere, look around where it has length of battles. It should be there.
Great job, its completely deserved, you have an awesome game and I've been playing almost non stop since I got it. Hope to see the sales and good news keep up
thanks BoogieBac that is what I meant just a single attack for the ship but make a cool fleet of little ships fly out for the attack. that way, like jefe said you could make aircraft carrier ships. but its just a ship with a missle attack of like 6 and have it come from fighter bays you attach to the ship. it could make for some sweet battles.
What do the farms do? I understand it increases the population cap, but so what? does it just mean more people so more taxes so you get more money because of the extra people? if you were going for more money why not just build a market? so could someone explain the significance and why you should build the farms? thanks
just a few suggestions -when creating ship items that were removed add themselves back on when removing the next thing. -when ships are stacked, there needs to be some way to select just one. example, stacked constructors, there is no way to select one and have it build a starbase. it has to be moved to be seperated and selected. -only real complaint is the the tech tree. in galciv 1 it was fairly simple you knew what you needed t
Im considering today as my "launch day" I picked it up today from best buy, brought it home got on stardock central, updated it, and have been playing all day with no problems at all. good work, awesome game.
I also went to EB and they said they just didnt get their shipment. So i went to best buy and they had 3 or 4 in stock so here I am with a boxed copy installing it right now! cant wait!
Hey, I had an idea that might be cool for on the bigger capital ships. I know from Galciv 1 on the starbases there was an upgrade for microfighters. I dont know how hard it would be, but maybe you could have that as a choice on the larger ships, like you add a small fighter bay on and its worth like + 1 missle attack, and then in the battles, you have small fighters fly out of it and fire at the enemy ships. just a though, not sure how possible it, but
yes, make the choices at the start of each game. when you pick your civ, and bonuses etc. you also choose which type of victories you want to go for, if you just want to annhilate everyone choose just that condition. i think that would be a very good idea
all i use is a laptop for gaming, since our home computer is a mac. i have a couple month old dell multimedia laptop though that is pretty beefy and will play battlefield 2 just fine. but GC1 is one of my favorite games and I have been waiting ever so patiently for the sequel, I've been on this website all day reading whatever I can about the game since I cant get it till later in the week when I can make the 30 min drive to an EB or our local walmart
im sitting around, watching some spike tv, thinking about playing GC1 but cant tear myself away from these friggin forums. still hoping beyond hope that our walmart will have it in stock today. by the way, shogun, you said you were from Ohio right? what part? thought it was interesting, its seems we are the only ohioans here. haha.
Northern Ohio, and when I say Northern, I mean right on the lake northern. In the US that is. haha
Ok, so our little town here, just got a brand new super walmart a couple weeks ago, can I expect it to have the game on shelves today? Im hoping that I can go around 3 and pick it up (I'm actually home sick from school today) but if its not at walmart, I'll have to drive 30 mintues to the closest EB. and I'll have to work it out somehow because I'm not waiting till tommorrow or later to get this game, I've been reading everything and I'm about ready to
