I've been in that situation. Best thing to do is clear out the system and dock your fighters when the pirates are going through. You can move your frigates to the other side of the system and reduce their engagement range.
Hmm, the heavy cruisers have a weapon type that is good against a armour type no one uses. How come?
The Heavy Cruiser's Composite damage type is good against everything.
Hm, you're right (almost). I looked at the non-TEC files a little more closely, and Advent LRM frigs do Capital damage. I'll make a note of that. All of the other ships seem to fit into the TEC mold, though. Thanks for spotting that.
(edit) Here's a nice color coded [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=404&aid=177607#1465607"]version of the chart[/link] (now with extra lasers!) courtesy of SieraBlack. Suitable for framing. I've been poking around the data files. Here's damage and armor types by ship class: SHIP CLASS...........ARMOR TYPE..........DAMAGE TYPE Scout................[/
Placement within a system doesn't matter? I've always tried to place my Trade Centers close to the phase lanes so the trade ships wouldn't have to crawl across the grav well. (Because it seemed logical, not because I know anything). Do the trade ships have any bearing on how much money you make from trade? Or are they just eye candy?
No, I only have the one account, the one that's just had GalCiv II in it forever. I thought I might be crazy and never bought it in the first place, but the payment is on my bank statement. I'm going to try Stardock customer support. Thanks for the reply.
I preordered back when the "preorder and get into the beta" deal was up. I pre-ordered, played the beta, then forgot about it until now. It's not in my Stardock account, and I checked my old e-mail, but couldn't find any CD-keys or anything. It's been a while, and I'm not really sure what I should do. Thanks.
