Is there a way of actually making a Star System dissapear in GC2? I've made an Invasion Tactic that drops the planet (at this point untested) down to 0, so that once your expendable troops win, it becomes unihabitable, but what better than to kill your scummy, ugly enemy than to wipe their entire race out while still hunting them through space.

And I vote yay for this as well - and I would like to add that I would like to abe able to actually spy on a minor race (even if they don't do anything other than build on special resource starbases), because the simple fact is that you should be able to.

PML - I love what you did on the map - I got close to doing that, but then the Drengin came along and snatched victory because the lil gimp Thallans surrendered to them....

Is there a way to make invasion tactics that will automatically make every xeno present commit to war with you. Also, how do you do negative values: would it be -20 or - 20? Do I need the space between or not?

I've noticed that Auto Attack doesn't work on mine either. Or that you can't give it two orders like Auto Explore and attack. Another development that came and went was the really nice coloured flight plan you got when you sent ships out on the main map - I think it was in 1.0X or 1.1 somewhere round there. I thought it was great, because when I had 20 - 30 colony ships moving about, I knew where each one was going, so I didn't have to rename each one with its destination

I would just like to see the new ideas read by the game developers, and have these ideas polled by them in their departments..... Also, the game is getting on a bit... Although I sill love to play old games.... (Gameboy Games, NES, Amiga etc). I personally, would like to see better effects in the game - for example - the option to turn off the engine effects on my installation makes no difference, basuse even with it on, I don't get any, on the map or in battle... I had see

Its probably just Windows doing what Windows is good at - being bad.... lol If only we still had good old Amiga Workbench I've had a game crash because Windows, in the middle of it, out of the blue, decided to update itself without asking me, and wanted to reset the computer.... <b

I agree with some of the above comments.. I would like to see some mods, by the better modders, for these. Hulls, races, whatever... i) The Red Dwarf ship &/or Starbug - I love it, because it's funny... Or even the blue midget ship. ii) Warhammer 40K ships, such as those in Battlefleet Gothic, although if anyone had the time and talent to do the design anywhere close to the detail that would be need to show the 'High Gothic' arches etc etc etc then they should g

I tried it with my own designed ships, but it didn't work... Did everyone else get it working, and if you did, did you use your own design or stock (core) ships.

I'd like to see someone make a ship that looks like the "Red Dwarf" But Stargate is cool too..... Maybe you could make some weapons that look like the Go'uld Staff!

Heh, I don't give a damn, if Evil means I get Star ship bonuses, loads of money at the expence of my populace, then so be it..... When I feel like it I just click on Xeno Ethics, then choose neutral or good. Especially now I have made three techs for each one (Good - a path to 'Utopia, Neutral - a path to a 'balanced' society and Evil - a path to a 'Tyrannical' society) With nice fat juicy ability bonuses, but they cost a lot, so it balances it out a bit. Oh, and those tec

I installed the game into a folder on my C: Drive called games, as I have never liked filling the program files folder with cr@p... But having said that, the Mod folder in the games installation path is where I have put it, and that is why I was wondering why it isn't working.

I've installed the mod - exactly as the readme says to - I already had the use mods option turned on, but I'm getting nothing. Do I need to copy the files anywhere? Or do I also need to put them in the mods folder inside the Mydocs area that the game makes? I don't know why it doesn't seem to be working, there are no hulls, other than the ones that were pre designed. I thought it might be because I am using a custom race with Terran style ships, but then I start

About right - oh well, I've activated my webspace with tiscali, which isn't working yet - which is about right! I'll need to find my Dreamweaver CD, ffs, god knows where that is.... deary me. I'll post any links to this thread as and when this is all sorted After looking for a couple of minutes I found my Macromedia software - phew, thats a relief!

#2 by Breaon This reply is out of date regarding Electronic Beautique, or GAME as they like to be known now. They stopped taking PC games about 2 years or so ago, because of the fact that people would buy a game, register it, and then take it back within their "10 Day - no fuss" returns policy, or else trade it back for something else.

TOVS idea is quite good. So is Fueds. Why is it so important to launch a colony ship with the full amount of colonists on it? I usually send 100 - 300 colonists out - depending on the class of planet I want to take, and the occasional 500 colonists if I see a really juicy planet i.e. class 26. With the colonists, I still see a very fast, large increase per turn.

This idea was done in Alpha Centuari, and it was fun, 95% of the time... As someone earlier mentioned, it is annoying if your going for a Conquest Victory, as not only can you not win until they are totally wiped out, but depending on how fast they can move, and how early in the game it actually is (and I've seen a race wiped out in the first 10 weeks) then it could take you ages to find them. By which time the beggers have now got another 15 - 50 colonies, all producing ships, and yo

Or you could just go mad, build as many colony ships as you can, giving them the bare minimum colonists, and take over a large portion of the map early on... With a preference to the high quality planets. Then get building loads of Embassies (or Cultural Centers).... I love it when I get a high class planet (e.g. level 19, or 26, which always seem to be near the vilest race, like the chimp impersonating Drengin) and the high class planet has 2 - 4 influence bonus tiles. The best I had

I've noticed missing buttons too - which is odd, as I just removed the game and all its files and re-installed it, the extra stuff and then updated it again..... This is a bit annoying to say the least!!!!!

Ryan Vincent is correct about the Colony Ship... Without that the game crashed.... The others, as far as I can tell - can be deleted. I just deleted the constructor, run the game, and it worked - the ship wasn't there, but when I put it back, and took out the colony ship, the game crashed back to Windows. So there is your answer.... Again, I hope this helps. Cheers.
