Why is it that in the shipyard "-" zooms in and "+" out? Anywhere else in the game it is the other way around.

I've seen this on the Yor Ranger template as well. If a part is placed at A it will show up at B. Additionally the wrong hull icon is used in the top left corner.
I cannot attack asteroid mines when the "show battle sequence" option is off. Is that just me or can someone confirm that?
When a new ship is built, speed bonuses are not applied for its first turn. Example: A ship with one impulse drive has a base speed of 3 (1 from hull, 2 from engine). The tech impulse drive gives a speed bonus of +1. (Why does it say +10 btw? And why is it listed in the speed ability as +10%?) When the ship is launched on the same turn it was built, its speed is only 3. In the next turn it has the correct speed of 4. I'm playing beta 2b.
There is only limited space on a hull. that means, if you put on of the first missles on a tiny hull there won't be enoug space for anything else. There is a bar at the top of the screen that shows, how much space is used and left.
I know about the issue with the drengin super ability, i just never realized how extreme it could be. In the the last 10 turns of my current game the drengin decided to attack 3 other races. After attacking the first 2 they already had an impressive fleet of 19000(!) ships. The first turn they declared war took about 3 minutes. the second time it was more than 5 minutes. I thought the game was frozen, but just before I lost patience it continued as usual. Now when they declared war for
I tried to reproduce this behaviour in many ways, but i still don't know how to do it reliably. It just happens in different games after i play a (rather long) while. This is in another game. The ship is visible through the FOW and not as an icon. It can't be s
You should keep working on the EG. It wouldn't be that bad if it didn't make it into the game, but it might prove invaluable. A few tweeks here and there and it might work as a "soap opera generator". Make a list of 50 events and e few characters and randomize their order for every season. Then let the generator creat the scripts for the shows. You could get so rich...
The Quantum Gen adds 30% and you can only build one gen per planet. I don't know a working formula to decide if a gen or a factory is better, because I don't know how the bonuses are applied.
After loading the game, the ships are gone. but other ships apear in the same place after a few turns. They don't fly there. This time there are some constructors and a freighter of different races...
In the southern corner of the galaxy I found some ships, that cannot identify. They can't be selected and don't ever move. At first there was only one ship now there are (i think) 3 ships from different races in the same sector. and the debug.err Debug Messag
I'm just playing on a gigantic galaxy and have about as many tile bonuses as before DA.
M49___B24_M4__G13______hp135 means 49 missile attack, 24 beam attack, 4 missile defense, 13 gun defense, 135 hitpoints The Iconians don't have any beam attack. must be 24 beam defense. These values are correct in Kryos post.
The Terrans are toast. Their ships lack the defenses and hp to take more than one shot from an iconian ship.
I've seen this. I'm paying 10bc instead of 10%. What would the percentage be applied to? The total income or just taxes?
The reason some of your planets probably seem to have a range of 15 is because you have ships in orbit. Regardless, the planet itself has only short range. Nope. I hardly ever have ships in orbit. It does seem that
Can someone explain how the sensor range of a planet is determined? In my current 1.4 game i have planets with sr of 15 (some seem to have even more) and others with sr 5 and some are just in between. Is this dependent in pg or pop or certain buildings? I have the Eyes of the Universe wonder btw. How am i supposed to keep my ships out of sight from my enemies when i don't know what they can see?
B1 is very annoying indeed. This usually happens after one or two turns with many icons. In the next turn there will only be a few icons no matter how many ships are built. To avoid this problem when loading a game, make sure you clear all icons before saving. B3 A simpler and cleaner selection process would be very nice. This is such a basic feature that should be working well. (especially after 4 patches) A7 That and some other poorly designed windows could use some strea
Ahm... are you serious? This seems like a very strange advice. Anyway... i tried it. Didn't work. so i guess I'll send an email. thx
My game just got stuck during the AI turn. The Torians were about to attack one of my fleets but nothing happend. Everything just stopped. There was no Turn/Skip button. I could still open the diplo screen or any planet screen. Selecting ships and giving new destinations was possible, but the ships wouldn't move since none of them had movement points left. What i couldn't do was to access the main menu. Not with esc, not through the button. Quicksave with strg-c worked. Now here ist the
There is another thing. If you use the upgrade option in the shipbuilder, the production of all planets building the old design will update to the new design.
Thanks for the reply, but the problem really is there. I'm playing 1.31. I know about the expiring icons and the overflow problem that has been solved. But I still dont get all the icons i should get. In the last turn i got 4 or 5 green icons and nothing else but when i checked in the planet list I found 13 brand new ships and several planets that had just completed their build queue. None of that was mentioned anywhere. At the beginnig of that turn the game did an autosave</b
The blue and green News Icons on the right that announce the completion of ships or builings seem to be buggy. It seems there can't be more than about 20 per turn. This is really annoying when your playing gigantic galaxies and build lots of ships. I often have to check the hole map to see if I sent off all ships. These icons are very usefull, i just wish they worked right.
Ah. Now thats how i got that class 3 planet with 12b pop. Uterly unhappy all the time
If i'm not mistaken, OP isn't complaing about the planet screen popping up. But after you redesigned the planet and go to the starport (directly from the planet screen) the pop up anouncing the next planet flipping comes up before you can do anything. After that it can be annoying to find that first planet again. Can't say anything about the terraforming. I'm usually playing neutral and get those tiles for free anyway.
