Hey, welcome to the community :) We are quite a diverse bunch, there are plenty of clans around for you to join. I suggest looking in some of their threads and such for a peak at what they are really about. If you are looking for a fun loving bunch of people with a fairly new player base and active members I suggest checking out www.pinkspaceponies.com. If you don't want to join the actual clan you should still sign up on the forums, we have some ridiculous discusions that mig

A huge welcome to all of our new members :D As you can see the Galactic Empire is already starting to fear for its safety, as they should. With membership already building we will try to start making some orginized military efforts. So I hope you all are active on the forums, as at this time we really need the discussion to make certain choices that will most likely influence the clan for a while to come. This is when we build, this is the time that matters most, so contribute as much as
You're forgetting about base rate that the trade port earns not mentioning the trade ships, plus the bonus the base rate gets for trade lenght.
I didn't bother to save it, at that point in time I didn't know he posted in this thread. If I see again though, I'll be sure to try an take a screenie, but no promises, I'm bad at that :(
Don't talk back to Darth Vader... he'll get ya!!
Awesome, it is greatly appreciated. :)
Yep I can attest to that too, I've had allies lose all their planets before but as long as you have a unit that can colonize things you stay in the game.
Well the this does need to be tested a bit. The thing is I don't see a viable way of doing this, each trade ship serves such a small value to the overall amount earned by the trade system that it would be nearly impossible to tell what happens when one of them is destroyed. Perhaps the devs can help us out.
Actually I was thinking the same thing, you should be able to scale it back down. But, so people can't just due it willy nilly strap on some costs and make it so that it has 'de-research' for a fairly long time, making it so that the player still has to pay the upkeep for a bit AND the added cost for 'de-grading' the system.
Oh man, well I will definetly play during Spring Break. We can try to prearange a meeting time or something. Just PM here or find me on IRC or something :)
In reality they didn't actually outnumber each other. Kodiaks take more supply cap, therefore their fleets were probably roughtly the same size. But I like the strategy employed, it would be harder to pull of in a smaller space though.
You're welcome. I've relised it was a time to store some of silliness away and channel the rest towards something constructive. And do visit our forums, we need some constructive criticism :)
The Space Ponies, A clan with a deep and distant history rooted within the Mythical Age of Sins Beta testing. </P
There are many ways to play them, I suggest trying them out to see what works for you :)
Oh man I haven't played that game in weeks actually. I'll try to get on this weekend, but with ACTs coming up and AP test right after that I don't know how much time for gaming and all. We'll see :)
Seeing as I am still a Pirate at heart I will gladly join any of you guys in some pillaging :D
In my opinion Agent of Kharma might actually cause more havoc then I ever did. Especially now that he is flaunting his title both in IRC and online. Although I personally favor small pokes and little jaunts of humor he might become an actual menace. As sunch I shall let my position as Prime Irritant be challanged for now. Especially since I have been ordered to be more orderly(ohhh the irony). I declare, for now, that I shall leave this thread alone unless I come to say things
No, destroying trade ships does effect the total trade incom of the trade port from which the ship comes from. The trade port generates a base amount of credits that can't be changed. But I think the trade ships also add to the amount it earns. I think so, though I havent tested it, because when you first build two trade ports, the amount of incom they generate slowly goes up to a certain amount as more trade ships are built and sent on their way. I dont know how many trade shi
Quite, you know not what you say :P (refering to original poster)
Well I think some of the planet abilities that you can find through exploration give you a clue. There are: High Security System: Soo um, security? Ionic storms: ions? Large Glaciers: water? Thats basicly it :D
Yep, but thats only if you are willing to micromanage, and know how to do it well. That doesn't make it unballanced cause it takes a lot of skill to do that kind of strategy.
You are wrong my friend. Though they tend to be on the weak side once initial colonies are established and mid game reasearch begins(lvl 3 and 4 mil) they become a force to be reckoned with.
I love this thread and I agree with the original poster. Those techs and abilities make the Vasari unique, and are also counterable. Now, please dont shout nerf, last time that happened both culture and pirates became what they are today.
Every single strategy I have seen so far(besides maybe Dunov groups) has an easy and feasable counter. This game is very very ballanced.
