lol, have them meld together when they collide XD lol...5 capital ships come together and form MEGAZORD Really, the self destruct thing makes since. The capital ships carry so much antimatter it could really cause some damage.

I took over half of a second system and I wanted to create a second capital planet there. Well to my dismay it MOVED the capital planet, yet the tool tip hints at being able to create a capital in each system (something about a tax bonus to planets in the system). Yes, the initial beta 2 release allowed a capital in each system, but this was revised down to one per player max.
I'm not sure about the dog fights but I do like the idea of capital ships orbiting each other. I defentaly think we need more options for system defense because gauss guns just dont cut it. I do like the idea of a missile battery or lazer gun (think Ion Cannon from C&C). BTW: Rail Gun is just another term for Gauss Gun, they both use the same technology (at least in the real world).
i aslo i like the idea of bi and tri star systems... multiple entrance points make me happy on the inside. though again maybe a begining option for those who done like the idea. I'm hopeing that there will be more options for a custom game (maybe even a galaxy edditor) in the final version. Maybe that is best talked about in a separate post.
I had this problem just happen to me. I took over half of a second system and I wanted to create a second capital planet there. Well to my dismay it MOVED the capital planet, yet the tool tip hints at being able to create a capital in each system (something about a tax bonus to planets in the system). After I realized it moved I noticed my fleet cap drop from around 800 to 453. Lucky I have a save right before I changed capitals that I can use to continue my game. I would upload a befor
Yes, I agree with haveing the systems 2D but the stars should be 3D to each other. It would also be cool to have binary and trinary star systems so you could have more then just one point of entry to a system (atm I think it is just a few connections between the stars).
That's one thing I have been looking for in my games, was the super weapon button. I thought I was just missing it, it turns out I was not. Even if we don't want the huge game ending weapon that C&C has, we could go with usable abilities like they have in C&C Generals/ZeroHour. The ability to open a worm hole to a remote system and jump in reinforcements instantly (instead of waiting ages for them to make the two+ jumps) to help you win the battle (think ChronoSphere from the Red Alert games).<b
It would be cool if the crew actually mattered in combat. One of the cooler things about Star Trek Armada was that you could beam crew to enemy ships and take them over. I dont know if transporter tech exist in the Sins universe but it would be a cool aspect of game play.
Would the debree be minable or no? I remember that before the betas came out this was discussed in length and many agreed upon the fact that it should be mined. It would also get rid of the lag factor not to mention keep resource in circulation. I like the idea of them being minable at least for capital ship debree and like lordkosc said, it would give construction ships something else to do bes
