Hmm, I was going to join then I saw that everyone of the games your clan is in, I haven't played/don't play anymore.

There's no way to tell how big it is Sure there is, can't be to big, since it has only one cannon on it. Maybe a frigate?

The ships will only run out of fuel for a period of time, which is antimatter. All FTL capable ships produce it them selves over time. *edit* The gates are going to be in the game I think..hopefully. Will need them to set up a true beachhead in another galaxy. Yes taking a system will give you a beach head, but think about reinforcements, they may take a while. Set a phase gate up in one of your systems that has nice shipyards and connect it to one gate in the beach head system. This s

Ship design feature? How much can we change about a ship (other than the experience based upgrade)? Space Voyager, Yarlen is not talking about SOASE. He is talking about GalCiv 2.

I don't see why not, if you understand English and pre-order the game, you can play the beta all you want once it comes out.

Why not enlighten us then, you old timers. Bring some of the great threads from the old forum to this one, provide links or something. Then, maybe youll have a chance to stop the whining I agree

I suppose my system of 3.6 ghz, 2gb of ram and sadly fx5200 256mb Pci video card could run the game? If it can, I'm still getting the 7800. I have the 5200 because im cheap and it seems to run all the games I have fine, but that could just be the rest of my pc compensating for its crap. Sorry for bumping this. lol.

I would leave my big fleets to defend while I send a few ships with the capability to bombard enemy planets. This way I could harass the easy planets which are largely and hopefully undefended planets.

Or, there could be some kind of option to enable a rule so that no one can rush or attack another player within a certain amount of time, kinda like the one if GC2:DA. You have to wait a week after declaring war to attack. Of course that has to be voted on by the United Planets. I'm just saying though something like that could be made. The downside would be no surprise attacks that can devistate your enemy very quickly. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Mad.gif" border=0 ALIGN

Yes, I would be mad, but i wouldn't try to kill my son..certain parts of the game seems like alma is trying to do that to you.

The first beta will hopefully be out sometime next month, and it will only be single player. The beta test after that will be multi player. Yes, when the beta comes out you can you download it.

nah, not possible. the maps aren't joined by wide spaces, they are discrete sections. although I would appreciate this for inter-planetary travel, its not happening. Too bad, I just wanted to see it lol. Not like its going to stop me from playing the game though. I also would like to drive a ship into a black hole, if those will be in the game

Yeah, but it never seems to come from her..anyways, they should of included the expansion in the game when they released it for 360..wouldn't have been to hard.

Hmm, I'm wondering if you're allowed to make a ship travel between systems and galaxy's with out phase space, you know on just regular engines..I think it would just be interesting to launch a ship and see how long it takes.

this game is (partly) in tune with relativity, as long as the ships are "moving" without other systems off (engine) it wont really matter. Yeah you're right, I have to hit my self for not seeing that.

Well the reason I usually dwelled on the places I've already been past was to look for health booster and reflex boosters, seems like they where always hiding around the corner. What that noise was, I have no Idea lol. I had to read the wiki article on it just to fill in gaps of the story.

Just look in the races info, while the ships are smooth, they still have that style of Vasari. Look at the front of the smooth ships, it looks more like the ship on the Vasari's race info pic. Even with this thought, it still makes me wonder if It could be Advent. I think we do need the devs to step in and tell us which ship is which.

I think the story is interesting, especially since ***SPOILER*** Alma is your mom. No, I never ran through the levels, sometimes I get turned around in the levels since there are usually multiple paths to one objective. I would usually end up fighting 3-4 times a level.

I don't agree, the game just wasn't scary to me, I enjoyed it for being an fps not scary, I beat it like a year ago when it came out for the PC. The parts where your player is walking down the hallway and then your suddenly in a hallway filled up to your chest in blood was pretty cool, but I feel cheated because the game didn't really scare me. I tried so hard for it to scare me, I played it in the dark and everything <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Mad.gif" border=0 ALIGN="

The Vasari might not be as numerous as the other races, but so far as i can tell their fleets are just as big as any of the others, if not bigger(see the trailer) Yes, thats just a trailer though. More ships and bigger ones help attract eyes.
