My connectivity has gotten worse with every beta patch. First one it went from ok to bad. Now I can't even get a game going. Probably should of stuck with the normal version, but if your pushing this through on monday then it wont make a difference. Something is wrong because I have the ports open and I have the reactor set up to like my ports. :(

GOO isn't really any different then the DRM they have been using for years. So they really didn't switch to GOO, they just made it avaible for everyone else.

I've been playing Austria as well! It's like 1742 and I have managed to beat the ottomans out of erurope and I also accidently >> conquered Prussia, Poland and a few minors in Europe and the Americas. I also get the nice crashes after 3-4 hours of straight playing. My game CTDS and gives me the 'not enough video memory' bullshit. I guess it's my fault for running every thing on max. ;[
I see this being useless for me because, I have just been using the impulse dock to do the very same thing for a while now and it has been working great. But..what the hell? Whats the point of ground battles when you can just sit in space and glass an enemies planet? If you went around capturing every planet with foot soldiers it would be extremly expensive in money and manpower. It would take billions of soldiers just to completely control one planet.

I went with the pc version. Main Reason? Because of modding. If it is as nearly as moddable as morrowind or oblivion then I will spending 100s of hours playing it. I had initially bought morrowind and obivlion for the consoles..but after you beat the main quests and the downloadble content..there isn't much to do. I have almost 600 hours on oblivion just because of user created content. Bethesda games are much better buy for pc. Plus 10 bucks cheaper? Come on. ;p

The fuel in the game is Antimatter. If you run out of it you can't jump to other planets or systems, and you can't use you're ships special abilities.
