Well your future build Thrawn will come in at around $1600 shipped. That doesn't include the amount of time you need to spend putting it together or Windows Vista Home Premium/Ultimate. For me, anything beyond $1500 is throwing away money for a very slight increase in benefits. Your dad does have a good point in that a $1000 system can still be fairly high-end and perform very well in in DX10 games (or DX9 games).

I have it but my computer is really bad so it lags alot on multiplayer and I never get any kills because of the lag (the fact that people move the titan on servers where they aren't supposed to doesn't help. DON'T MOVE THE TITAN, IT CAUSES LAGS AND ALLOWS PEOPLE TO BE CHEAP).
No, there are no destroyable sub-components on ships in sins. I think he means an actual dead ship, but with most of its hull intact (the ship doesn't need to be blown up to be dead). Is that what you meant, Poland?

Too bad that there is no air in space... Thats a realism issue with SINS, the sounds and expslosions wouldn't happen (well, technically the atmosphere inside the ships could catch fire but most likely it would just spill out into space). But if SINS was realistic it wouldn't be fun!

I can almost garuntee any consumer-aware company will release both the stand alone and an add on, for differing prices. they really wouldnt want to risk alienating a huge portion of their consumers (the people who bought the previous game) Apperantly there is alot more content and they have to make it a standalone game (Warhammer 40k had one).

MMM, scaling might be the most major issue for this game. ISDs are 1,600 meters in length, a Lamba Class shuttle is 20 meters, a TIE fighter 6.3 meters, and a SSD is 19 kilometers. Plus, ISDs have 8 Ion cannons which have long streaks of fire (going from the Rouge Squadron game), and all the laser fire in SINS is itty bitty. I don't know what the measurments of the ships in SINS are, but I seem to remember that the missile frigate was 210 meters. I don't know what you could use for frigat
