As far as zones go, I would like to see a 1: Planet buildable area. 2: a larger grav well, perhaps with some room for ship manouvering. And 3: an even larger "arrival" area, outside of the grav well. Also I would like to see an option to actually pick the arrival area when phase jumping, you click the actual place where you want your flee to arrive and they try to get within a close distance of the spot, (and optionally, if you pick an area too close to the well, if they over shoot and end up in
how exactly does culture work though? i mean, does having more Broadcast in a system increase its resistance to enemy culture and reenforce its own? or is it limited by one per planet? Also, does having many systems with culture work better than having a front line planet with as many broadcast systems?
My idea was not to allow ships to get around an inhibition, but instead to increase the manouver room to larger than the grav well of the planet, thereby allowing you to move around a defensive wall and hit the planet from behind, by moving in sub-light, out of range of defenses. oh, and also i would like to see fleets too. especially ones where you can choose formation to have pickets, cap ship walls and things like that. (class placement priority)
ah, ok, that makes sense, but what about the (i think) lvl 4 or 5 tech that claims to increase jump range by a %?
I wanted to start a thread for people noticing bugs with the tech tree. 1. Huge and ++ cargo upgrades never increased the amount of stuff my trade ships carried. I watched a ship with 216 in coin before the upgrades, and after ALL the capacity upgrades, it was still hauling 216 coin every trip. same with resources. 2. WHAT THE HECK is long range jumps? seriously... if you can jump from point A to point B, and then to C, would not getting "longer range jumping" allow you to
ah, yes you can research immunity, BUT only for the scout ships. it really limits your ability to fight past a bottleneck then. One suggestion from me: Is is possible to expand the manouver room to BEYOND the gravity well of a planet? I understand how this might look like a way to avoid inhibitors, but my suggestion is that the inhibitor work well in the planet's area, but allow ships to move in sub-light around 'turtle' defenses from only one side and hit the blind side of a planet.<br
