I love what you do. It's all very good stuff. The AI in the games are just awesome. Can't wait to see what you will think of for your 4X fantasy game.

Here is the link to the trailer... It's still under construction but the music did give me goosebumbs. http://www.startrekmovie.com/ In the coming months I'm pretty sure it will be updated.
Stay tuned is good news then... I just wish I could see some screenshots or at least have a small faq... Can't wait. I even started playing MOM again just for the fun of it :-)
I for one loved MOM. I remember when I first got it and it was so buggy it crashed and got me so mad. I played it for so long. I stopped playing it because even at the hardest settings it was way to easy. There was never any challenges. Now that I finally know Stardock is creating a similar game I can't stop looking everywhere for more information. I'm glad I found this post. Cauldyth put in what Brad's vision of a Fantasy 4X game is and MY GOD!!!! I can't wait to se
I just installed it and if somebody can tell me if this is just me.. For one I can only play as humans and two I can only play against 8 oponents. Is it just me? I know it's beta and all but I just wonder if I did something wrong. Thanks
I read your post Mr Wardell. I'm 34 and father of three under the age of ten. I've been playing games since the ATARI came out. Since i've been able to afford a computer I have been changing mine every three years or so. I can never afford the top of the line. So when I read your post it really touched me. I passed lots of games because my computer could not run it. I for one don't really care about hi end graphics. Hell I own a WII and it is fun! :-) I have to admit when I fir
I for one played that game from the start. It was full of bugs I was mad because at the time I had never heard of the internet and I had no way of getting the patch. When I finally got the patch it played a lot better. I still have it on my PC with Dosbox. If Stardocks makes a game similar I for one will PRE order and buy it as soon as I can. I always loved fantasy more then science fiction. One reason I tried Galactic civilization eas because it was suppose to be one of the best strat
Most of my games I get this problem. I have ships that move at 9. And all of a sudden their movements drop to 2. I know some starbases might affect movement but there is no sb anywhere and still my ships lose movement poits. they go from 9/9 to 2/2 Anybody know why this happens? Thanks
I am trying to get an understanding of the game's mechanics. When I read for exemple Basic logistics cost: 150 rp what does that really mean? I know if I build research structure it helps but I am not sure I understand the principle. If somebody could explain it keeping in mind I am a newb I would really appreciate it. Thanks
Well I want more dang it!! They make the game more fun. It also help to change the balance a bit
My last two game of DA on metaverse I had 2 major events only. I play on big maps with 5 opponents and I swear I only got two major events. Is that pretty standard? I seem to recall my ealier games I would get the jagged knife one twice and a few others in the same game. Now I go through most of my game without anything happening. And I have it on in the options. Just wondering what you guys noticed. Thanks
I play dark Avator. I never use the randomizer for the AI only for the opponents. So at intelligent I have no way of knowing what my difficlty level is? One thing is for sure I've always played at Normal, I am certainly being pushed around a whole lot
I usually do ctrl-N a few times to get a map I like. Because of that I usually go in the foreign policy screen under misc and find out the AI level there. This game I put my difficulty level was at challenging. When I looked in on it I see it at INTELIGENT, I never heard of inteligent, can anybody help me out on this one? Thanks
Maybe it's because I play normal challenging, but I don't really care about 100% happiness. I start off by buying a factory put my production slider to 100% where it will always be. My military slider is at 50% and the other two at 25 - 25. My space mining ship goes right next door where it will mine and my flag ship grabs the closest anamoly. I build colony ship without buying one unless there is a really great planet which would be 16 plus otherwise I just wait on production usually it's 4 tur
I'bve always played on a medium map. All the pop up we get only gives bonuses to Evil char. It would be nice once in a while if the Evil would also get a negative impact. The way it's being done now seems to be ... No good deed goes unpunished. Pretty lame. I try and play good I like the extra challenge.
As mega events goes... I really like the one that kills the president of another species and it turns out I am now at war with them. This is even more fustrating when it happens early on with no military Mega events are always cool
I have only played at normal, what I do is not at all like anybody does here. I buy my first factory and start building my colony ship. I adjust my sliders so I get a ship every 6 or 7 turns. I tax everybody to 59% so my popularity is around 50%. I study ION drive. I play on a huge map and I always get my fair share of planets. When my money is almost gone I start exchanging my tech with the minor races for other techs and money. It's a bit slower and on occasion I have had small empire
It certainly would make more sense. I never did understand why we could see every structure on a planet. Hopefully they can do it.
If I want a civ to go to war with onether how can I make that happen? Anytime I see in the menu attack, the optionsis always a minor civilization... Is there another way?
Thanks all. That's really halpful
I have updated my game this week-end. Now I can only put in 250 colonist in my ships. Is that part of the new patch? Is there a patch log somewhere I can read to see what the changes were? And finally is there a way to put more colonist in a ship? Thanks all
I have played quite a few games now and Tough is REALLY Tough. THis game has INSANE AI! Especially with CPU intensive logorithms turned on, they can do some very smart truff. Seriously, in my last game, the AI was smarter then me. That takes quite of bit of courage to admit. /cheer I agree with you. It's an impressive peice of programming. /cheer to frogboy
Please forgive any grammar I am french and might miss a few. I have a few questions for you GALCIV2 gurous out there... I've been playing for a few months now, and I am wondering if I am missing out on a few things. Here are my questions if anybody can answe any or all 1- How can I convince another species to form an alliance with me? Do I have to keep giving them stuff and hope for the best or is there a basic strategy to have an alliance formed? 2-
Strange I got the gold edition at EB it was exactly the same price as GC2 so the choice was not very hard for me. Gold edition all the way. I prefer to have all the options.
I have never played anybody except the humans. But then again I have only played 8 or 9 games. The humans seem pretty lame to me. But the learning curve was a bit hard for me so I thought keeping with only 1 specie it would be simpler. I do know I love to play against the Korath. I love to kick their butts
