Get rid of religion, that should help cure most intolerance. But knowing us Humans, we would just find another reason to hate each other. But I dont really care about it anymore. We were at war when I was born, and we still are. War is part of American life.
Well on DA, I noticed that the Krynn are way overpowered, and the Altarians have been nerfed big time.
You may want to turn down the background star density. Thats helped me lag less on Vista. But your playing on XP, and I dont have any issues on my laptop(ran on XP)..
I tend to play Evil 70% of the time, Neutral 20%, Good 5%. You should try taking math for your remaining 5%. I play as good, so my armies of "crusaders" can annihilate all those inferior evil races. Or I play as neutral to get the bonuses. Amen - You who play evil are cowardly wimps. Those of you who stay good are the real warriors. Glad to see someone

Doesnt Gal Civ Gold Edition have DA patched to 1.5 default?
Well, If the ship is just a upgraded colony ship, transport, miner, ect. I get lazy, and just put "Neo" in the begining. But for military ships, I use deity names from various mythologies.

For TBS, Id have to say Gal Civ 2 Gold Edition, followed by Civ 3. And for RTS... I dont play much of them, but Id have to say Rise of Legends, since its not a generic fantasy RTS, and the I love the steampunk aspect of the Vinci. Oh, and Warhammer 40K Dark crusade with the Annihilation mod. XD

DA is unplayable on my Vista. The game runs just fine, but its so slow and laggy, its not worth playing. Thats why I gotta go back to DL, until I upgrade my desktop.
Ahh, I thank you! The evil flicker is gone! But Im still gonna have to play DL until I upgrad the desktop, feels kinda weird going from DL, to DA, then back to DL. xD
Okay, I decided to install Gal Civ on my desktop, so I didnt have to play it on my laptop. The thing is, the desktop is run on Vista. The game works fine(lags in DA though..), but I noticed something, no matter where I am in the game, my cursor, and other places flicker. Is there anyway to fix this?

Grr, I hate playing against the Thalans. But congrats on your first win! "I started going for an alliance win being the Terrans, but doesn't seem like that is going to happen..Drengin are hating my influence, they had a specific funny term for it, cannot remember it though......." Lol, I had them declare war on me cause we invented diet soda. XD
Go to My Documents -> My Games -> Gal Civ(or GC2DarkAvatar) And it should be in that folder. It will be something like customrace"name".

Well after naming 100+ worlds, I tend to run out of ideas for names. But thanks for answering my question.
Yea..they are slowly being killed in Krynn and Drengin lands, but they still rule my space. My economy is still booming, but they are crushing my ships faster than I can build, or rush them. My best ships cant survive against 200+ attack fleets, EVERYWHERE.
Just delete the custom race files for the ones you dont like?
