eduro if their banning policy is the same as in Sins of A Solar Empire, then, first off, cheating is very hard to do...Hacks in a P2P game such as this would be quite irrelevant i think. Also, they are pretty lenient, they have only banned a couple users from Sins of A Solar Empire, literally only a couple, and it was discussed on the forums before it actually happened. I honestly think that these issues are still being downplayed. It doesnt work fine for "most of the population," it works like shit for everyone. GameRanger is 100% better than the POS built in matchmaking...explain that. And you say that the netcode is the same that's used in SINS, i have a very hard time believing that, considering sins didnt sit and take at least 30 each seconds to P2P to every player in the room.

what multiplayer population?
The online multiplayer right now is pretty much broken. It doesn't stop me from spending an hour gettin a 30 minute match, as it satisfies my previous sins addiction just the same...In the end it feels like sins because sins is so slow for so much of the time, and there's only about 30 minutes of fun for every hour of work. The online multiplayer has the potential to be even funner than sins, albeit less deep...we'll see what happens if they were get it to work acceptably.

you need to sign in with your stardock Username and Password that has the registration info of DEMIGOD to play online. I own sins, downloaded Demi from mininova, couldn't go online, bought the game. I was going to buy the game anyway, so I didn't really see if i could trick the system, but if I tried to make an account it wanted me to create a username and password.

i feel like stardock gets surprised every time one of their games is popular..and just isn't prepared to deal with it. You'd never see this happening with DICE or Bungie, etc. If you make a multiplayer-centric game, make the multiplayer work please. Publishers behind them being EA and MS.
