Sounds awesome i want an overlord forge. lol But yeah its good to see the devs care and have a plan for this i always loved crafting.

*laughs* Poor Europeans we make up for the loss of 5 hours because we don't waste time on Soccer. Just kidding don't want to offend anyone lol. I hope the Beta is polished nicely so no more random crashes.
I think shards are quite balanced *provided as frogboy said they take out the requirment for some spells if not most* because they also give you special buildings etc. perhaps an essence boost as extra incentive to control them since most spells will not require them till end game? combine the essence boost with the special structures they become incredibly important early game as well.
I firmly support both adding it to the book *hiergamenon* and to the selection screen.
Yeah i understand this question actually as in galactic civilizations i used to mod max points just to give myself extra bonuses for building my unique civs *i also had negative traits modded in* but yeah godmodding everyonce in awhile is fun particularly in fantasy games where you want to make a character that starts off moderately tough *i would make a sov with 15 on str dex and con while int and wisdom were both 20-28 and give em several positive traits* it wouldn't be uber rigged but it w
Zeppleins would be awesome. Or spells for flying creatures that transport. Or finally making it so that every island either has a beach. an earth shard. or somehow have a technology like zepleins airboats or some form of transportation for at least one unit or else that kinda sucks. Although granted i had an awesome game on my own isolated island building an empire untill another empire came alo
I'll let everyone bicker the mechanics i gave up after the economic argument.. Anyways the one thing i do throw my vote in with is uber powerful soveriegns because afterall their the strongest beings in the world once they attain power therefore i believe that the ultimate counter to any 'steamroller' is a soveriegn simply walling his kingdom off with mountains or summoning a great daemon etc. such things counteract the actions of large empires. A
I agree for the most part. Although i think the shards are supposed to be Finite and have to be fought over. Also sacrificing pop/necromatic magic would be awesome to have. Good/Evil i do not think applies in this game.
Well we need more varience on doctrinal thought Like warbased mentalities etc. I suggest two things One we need to have a system basedon the mid and late game where research is not necessary for the beginning but those work hard in the beginning are rewarded as they enter midgame tech or more earlier. And have crosspath research like if you have some civic and alot of war have some war/civ techs that replace other techs like a war based form of cu
I like the variance. Maybe have an option to have a map generator 'equalize' starting locations or to allow it to be random for map generation.
I enjoy the scarcity of food. and our ability to create food producing land. It adds a strategic and Thematic level to gameplay.
Also to add to this...Yes it is decently balanced and secondly. It is a war of magic as an above poster mentioned... The Soveriegn is a powerful MAGE he's a channeler of nearly divine power. That trumps any warrior.
Simple have a popup ala Heroes 3 style. Asking if your sure your done and listing if you have towns that are not building/doing anything that can or units that can move. It doesn't have to tell you which just have a popup. an OPTIONAL Popup and there problem solved.
Don't put yourself down the game is Really good and the modding tools and your openness showcase how good the game is and how good of a designer you and the rest of the team are. To be honest this is my most anticipated game in over 3 years.
Scaling down and up depending on zoom level making them smaller as we zoom out relative.
I like everything...heh the games coming along wonderfully.
we don't know i believe its incredibly open though and after seeing the modding/editing tools its obvious even a person with very limited experience can easily make new quests and buildings etc.
To reply to Jerome i believe they do intend to allow heirs to replace the sov. Thank you Kellen i will look at the journal now.
I believe your allowed multiple in the same household up to something like 3-4 computers at least i was told that for both sins of a solar empire as well as dragon age origins from impulse. I do not know in particular to elemental but ask the support site.
I'm actually very happy with the game i just want to ensure the performance is good. and to see the techs+magic all put together. They'll probably start work on expansions soon too. After some balancing this game will be incredibly fun. Edit Just to note i meant they'll start expansions soon after release etc. i'm looking forward to the next 2 betas and personally i think the game is starting to look really good. Add that to
I love this mod and what it does...However i really want an update to support diplomacy *the newer expansion* i hope your working on it and once again Love the mod.
I believe mods should be able to play multiplayer but only if you had the same version etc. like Coh or other games that employ mods.
Perhaps only for heirs and soveriegns? and you could set it to autoleveling or something. I just want the ability for the sov maybe not anyone else but him if it comes to it.
It seems to me that though theirs a good bit of stats and alot of special spells etc. Melee/combat orientated soverigns lack the edge. and so do magical for special traits. So Wouldn't it be nice if everyfew levels we got to pick a special talent/trait? For all champions and heirs as well as the soveriegn *sov's get some special traits* these would range from leadership bonuses *slight bonuses to each soldier in the army thus making the soverign more important f
yeah for modders some testing cheats/debug would be nice plus cheats are sometimes fun for singleplayer to just have fun. Although i'd hate to be tempted with them.
