Yup, I always played on rare because I don't particularly like anomalies to begin with. Now that they respawn, something mildly annoying has become something seriously annoying. Respawn rate needs to be tied to commonality, and I'd still like a "none" option.
Don't take this the wrong way, I'm seriously not trying to be snide here. I just have to ask how can you find anomolies seriosuly annoying? If you don't like their existence you are free to ignore them....the AI doe
By that logic, you would be able to win an alliance victory only by destroying the last AI, as it is never in the last AI's interest to join the alliance which allows you to win. For the same reason, influence victories would also be impossible, as any unallied AI should simply declare war to prevent you from winning. They probably wouldn't win the resulting war, but they could delay the inevitable and force you into a conquest victory (or diplomatic, if you are allied with anyone). [/quo

You're either expanding too fast, over-building for what you can afford (I've found that sometimes I have to leave build queues idle for a while, cause planetary maintenance was killing me) don't have enough people, or are building too many ships. Ship maintenance costs are huge in the last few beta releases. Or you need more econ buildings. And to make it more fun, each race has their own econ speed. (try playing the Yor...) What you did in DA/DL will quickly bankrupt you in TA.

Map Editor needs: A summary screen. If I'm making an immense map, I'd like to be able to pull up a screen that will tell me how many of each PQ type I have, how many rad, aquatic, barren, heavy, etc worlds, how many resources of each type I've placed.....etc.
I gave them my money for TA a couple months ago, I think I'm entitled to as much of the full product as they can give me.
You aren't ENTITLED to anything except a product on release date. From most companies that is what you would get. Stardock is ALLOWING us to help in the beta-process because it helps them make a better game. But no..you aren't entitled to anything before the release date.

As for insulting....consider that Frogboy was honest with us. He could have easily said, "We've decided to put the first editor in the next release. We are still considering how to release the other editors. If circumstances

U-235, As I have said in at least 1 other point, you have some valid and good ideas. But to be honest, your method of discussion and debate alienates most people you would discuss this with. You are out of time order, btw. You started flaming Phae before he began attacking your posts. And it's not just him. I've seen you on many threads trivialize other peoples points and attack them personally because you don't agree with them. You attract more flies with honey than

He means park a ship by the offending starbase, then give said ship to another race, and bribe the race to start a war with the offending race.

Hard to tell. We usually find out that devs have addressed something we are concerned about by finding it in the release notes. However, since TA is 'feature-locked' I suspect not.

I had a similar occurrence. In one of games, the Drengin declared war on me, and I quickly taught them the error of their ways. After a 2 year war, I had relieved them of the drudgery of maintaining 20(ish) of their planets, and I had total space superiority, I offered them a peace treaty. They had no money, and no techs I wanted, so I said I wanted a class 11 planet in a system I had 2 planets in, to give me the entire system. They said no. Which struck me as odd, because previously I

I was also going to cite 'Code of the Lifemaker'. If you remember the book, JM, at one point the humans were dealing with the main robotic character, and one human mentions to the another. "See the little guy there, he's made of solidified mercury. If we brought him onto our ship, he'd be a puddle in less than a minute." Just a specific to highlight your environmental range point. Although I thought the reproduction method was hokey, and shoe-horned into mimicing the p
actually, I can see I am a bit of a noob at this. previously i commented about the military ai however that was in a small map game against mostly the iconians who never for some reason bothered researching enough weapon techs. now i am playing on the biggest map late into the game and man, those ai ships and fleets are tough.
Careful.
You seem to be mistaken in your definition. Russia, France, Great Britain, India, Italy, and Brazil all have carriers.
