As far as pushing us back due to technical issues, I can't really say with any certainty. For DoV, I just said "screw it" on the 1.04 -> 1.05 port and ran it natively with only minor string issues, because merging english.str really felt like a waste of time. I don't mean to hijack your thread, but you did ask what it's going to mean for us in general, not just porting issues: I'm more concerned about how far it's going to not push us. If I'm going to port an entire TC over, I'd rather
Have you seen the price of the HD 4850? It's $200 at Best Buy with a $50 dollar rebate. How is that not a good deal considering it's on par with a 9800GTX and the drivers at the moment are far from being anywhere near the cards full potential.
Right, and my point was that the ATI marketing team should emphasize that. Still, I think it's relatively stupid to compare to the 9800GTX, as the 9800GTX is a pretty shitty launch all around. It's more like "at higher reso

The Kostura is crap, killing only orbital structures. Those are cheap, and easy to rebuild.
Um, no. Deliverance gives you a bonus to weapons and shields, and the Kostura is like the Hoth ion cannon on steroids.
This coupled with the fact ATI seems to be first on the bandwagon when it comes to new features lately (DX10.1 / Pixel Shader 4.1 support, using the latest memory standards such as GDDR5) and their superior price to performance ratio with the HD38xx releases onwards means ATI are exactly what I'm after in a producer of graphics cards for a gamer.
Yeah, but those "new features" are largely insignificant, and ATI makes really terrible decisions like pairing those high-

It strikes me as more of a allusion to the "what can your country do for you/what can you do for your country" line.

Material indicates their telepathic abilities were gained through genetic experimentation, some of which might be quite "deviant". I get the feeling they were like the Sith on Korriban or like Noveria in Mass Effect - on an isolated world, they hid from the ruling TEC and performed all sort of racial/illegal experiments.
