Nope. Doesn't work. That argument fails completely with regards to game software, music and entertainment. There is no human rights issue to be made there. Which is what I said in the first place. But thanks for typing up a long post and missing the point.
Wow, you convinced me. Denying people's arguments but not offering up any counter-explanations is the best way to debate effectively.

Had a great FFA a few minutes ago, all players agreed to resume and I said I'd post a thread here. One player left, his slot is open if someone wants it. Players were banks and digsafe. Resuming the game at 5:30 PM PST (GMT -8). If that doesn't work, post here.

Spanning across monitors looks ugly as hell. I like having one window for browsing the intertubes while my research continues anyway.
a. Don't present a Target. Mainly, build stuff that capital damage isn't good against and thats good vs LRM's (mainly other LRM's and Scouts (Surprise!)).
Okay, next time I will build more than 25 Assailants and spam a non-combat ship rather than employing such antiquated notions and strategies as "fleet diversity" and "large guns".
c. Yeah, "not fighting" again. If the Map is big enough for a long build-up phase, simply go away. Split your fleet, har

As I stated above, I've got five or six different suggestions in this very thread on how to counter a tactic that throws all fleet diversity out the window. I used roughly half in this game. The ones I haven't tried yet are using Subverters and scouts. The former seems relatively reasonable, the latter seems absolutely insane and I have no idea why it would be set up this way. If people are going to claim that there's an easy way to beat spammers, I'd like to see them make up their mind

The Q is slower on single-core, it's slower on dual core. The only possible advantage is in games that use quad cores and that would be absolutely 0. Sure it'll run, but a Celeron M will run them as well.

Maybe you should watch the replay before trolling. I had my entire fleet there after one of my caps was gone. Only after it took out my entire fleet did I send in the rest of what I had in reserve.
Assuming your fighters would destroy him made it even worse for you
Well, then, what DOES destroy him? Fighters don't work? Level seven caps get destroyed in thirty seconds? Kodiak equivalents get blown up? So on one hand we have people saying "oh spam XXX" and on the
I hardly see how a Q6600 is a POS. Its an affordable chip that has 4 cores, can overclock moderately well if the person wants to overclock, and it runs games just as well as some of the dual cores. Not everyone has to overclock a processor to get the most out of it.
It's affordable. It's midrange. It's also more expensive and clocked lower at stock than a 8400, is much hotter, and eats a lot more power. It's also useless for g

There is no "script engine" but you can make maps with specialized conditions. It's unfortunate, I know, but that's life.
Try taking out the cap-ship ASAP. Then, the Illuminator blob should fall to your superior force.
I targeted his Progenitor early on and destroyed it. He had only siege ships, no repair frigates or caps. I'm pretty sure I teched up all the hull stuff as well as the armor. I made sure to get the armor right after I grabbed the last LRM upgrade. red: The armor on the cap carriers is pretty low and the Illuminators shredded my Cobalts pretty quickly. I can't imagine that working. I had lots of resources (remember, I had enough to max out most of the military tech tree) and phase lanes to one jump away from the battle. Even if I kept sending in my Returning Armada reinforcements, they'd just never quit blowing my ships up.
yeah he did have hell of a lot of ships Illuminator has crappy range, you can kite them with all carrier fleet, should work out OK!
Illuminator has crappy range? What game are you playing? The only way that would work is if you warped in 65 carriers and then right clicked around the gr

Well, that's true, but I was under the assumption the fighters would rip through them, or at least do a decent amount of damage. With them having 2 armor, I shouldn't need to bring any more carriers. Instead, the things just wouldn't die and the fact that it took so many ships to bring them down is mind-boggling. edit: Also, lv5 cap carrier = 4 fighters, each light carrier can field 2 fighters, so it was more than that, about evening it out.

Blowing up structures is too difficult and lengthy. A speed upgrade for some ships might help. I'm making a anti-heavy hit and run frigate for my minimod.
why not use the Borg as Pirates? Seems to me like the perfect solution. Both are "raiding" factions and u wouldnt need to make the Borgs weak.

There will be no Borg in the mod. At least for now. There is no way currently to include the Borg that will balance them for the other races, or without making them look stupid like they did in Voyager.
I am really looking forward to this - the models are great,
Well, you can't really "ruin" a modding community by having easy to use tools.
You'd be surprised. The ones who thought they could code diluted the community to the point where there was a bunch of vaporware mods and then decided to shit-talk anyone who disagreed with them about what could be done with the xmls. It was really a bad situation and only a couple mods survived intact. There's no reason .entity editing needs to be any
