HW2 had truly great ship AI. Although like people have mentioned that if you microed you would lose fewer ships the ships could take care of themselves. Plus homeworld 2 "multiple fronts" were DRASTICALLY different from SoaSE multiple fronts. To get reinforcements from one to the other or move your attention from one to the other was faster in HW2. You could keep track of the "multiple fronts" such that it really was one front. Whereas in SoaSE you have distance between the two. LARGE distance.

Am I the only person who plays big or goes home? I mean seriously to me RA is barely useful. Free ships are nice but by endgame I have a huge pumped econ with ANY race(Of course a decent player would kill me but I digress).

Honestly RA is only too powerful if the opponent completely and totally screws up. Any decent human player(I will be the first to admit that I might not be able to do it) will use the Vasari early game disadvantage to force them into retreat. The vasari simply put are an advanced race, it is much easier IMO to play TEC or even Advent.

Why yes OP there is a version for the PS3! First go online, figure out how to install linux on a PS3 then figure out how to run this game in wine and in the mean time RTFFP.

Man go check out the conversion list theres a battlefield gothic mod there, Insane electromagnetic shielding(if it works the same way as the core) does not protect from physical fire and certainly does not work in the way that the shields that we were discussing.

If we extended the gravity well of the star to the entire system would there be no phasing in said system? Wouldnt that change tactics significantly? Also using wormholes you could create strategic points with short travel time between them.

hmmm how many entry points into your empire? If one then I would place EVERY LAST UNIT I own into that choke point(no seriously this HAS happened to me on a random). Also since I already had heavy power there all my tac slots would be regen or hangar. other wise I go about 5:3:2 5 point defense and 3 hanger for 2 regen. I try to stick to that sometimes its a bit more or less depending on the number of inbound phase lanes(phase lanes where the enemy comes in). Also I always leave a spare capital

I havent read the entire discussion just commenting on OP. Personally, I dont like subscription models. I would rather pay for an expansion pack every few months than actually load up new content like that. I have a few reasons for this. Might be a corrupted install if its not the mod issue(mod is most likely). Try uninstalling, running chkdsk, and installing again.(or if you want to try your luck just uninstall and install again, be sure to do BOTH and not just a reinstall).

There shouldnt really be any issue for an Wintel mac. The OS is the same. I would honestly say though that you can get better power for cheaper if you build your own PC instead of going with a Wintel mac.(Of course that could be me being elitist - feel free to retaliate with a *slap*)

did you try an alt tab and see if a minidump was there? If so send that in, also there is a user.setting file that has an option to enable show errors(gives more detail than a generic minidump saved at ....).
