the thought bothers me alot. Sins BSG and Starwars rely heavily on fighters which are really rare in Star Trek. Star wars ship designs are dull. The empires flying triangles and the rebel alliances giant space dildos. At least the Borg have an excuse for uninspiring deisgns based off simple shapes. I wasnt asking major stress I was asking if danman would release a combo mod of solar sins and soa2 if he released a borg addon. If you don want solar sins then you still can get demo 0.003 which wont have it.

well heres the problem with tying them to tech levels. Cap ships cant be tied to tech levels and if you stick them in the cruiser slot then theres no cap ship crew limiting how many you can have.
anywhere it doesnt matter. You just open the file and browse the folders the only one that needs to be in a specified spot is particle editor the rest can be launched from anywhere
Yea and I understand those problems with the rommies really well. And I can see the big problems with the borg besides adding in teks that cant be added in right now they could either be horribly op as a player race and as an npc race they could utterly destroy a match with one appearance. I think you made the right call leaving them out. Im really wexcited to see the final version and to see what youve done with the non canon ships. I just dread having to put back in the sins

It is tough to balance the ships with nothing but canon units. Ive spent alot of time digging through the entity files of the demo releases and come up with the very same problem Major Stress has mentioned here. The thing is the Feds have such a vareity of ships to choose from you can easily spread out ship roles and costs and damages for the feds. This isnt true for any race save perhaps the klingons who have the next best ship selection. If you try and balance say a combat frigate f

Major Stress I am sorry to hear this but I want to thank you for what you have already released. I took the demo releases and put together a mod that my friends and i have been having a great time with and I could never have done it from the ground up. We've been playing a modifeid version of the demo release since it first hit and enjoyed it alot. Thanks for everything youve done. I wish I could help you with the actual SoA 2 but I am not a coder and really just know how to edit entity files
any ideas when we can expect a demo?

The sins plus planets aren't showing up on the zoomed out grid. They show up zoomed in but zoomed out to the phase lane grid their spaces are blank. Gonna have to figure this one out. What files are those? *edit* Solved this one too
yep after that I had to edit the string info which took awhile as well but its all in and working now to adust the new ships to reflect the balance my friends and I made with the original version and this new version will be ready. And if your Reading Thank you Major Stress and Thank you Uzi all i can do is combine your work!
