Mansh00ter, Had to personally give you congrats on this. The video is fantastic. Of course you know that I will be mergin this into 7 DEADLY SINS. And I do use Bailknight's mod as well as WLD's mod, and some special effects of my own, so that may be why Sparda or others are getting trouble. They may have to wait until I merge everything. Also, I like your style and Bailknights, and I am torn between the two, especially for capital ship explosions. I
Until the official race is released, I'm going to say that it is the Antlanians from Danman's 7DS mod.
YES! In my mod 7 DEADLY SINS, the Vasari were created by the Atlantians as a soldier race. The Vasari turned on their masters as a result of being mind controlled by another race, and turned the Atlantian's weapons against them, and the Atlantians escaped to a far away galaxy, never to be heard from agai
Yes, this is a current work in progress for the 7 DEADLY SINS team. I have modders working on this right now. DANMAN
Quoting Major Stress, reply 2 You will probably need to wait another year, or so for a full conversion mod, because they can take just as long as a professional games to develop. Right now Sins is still "new", and there many things that still need to be learned about the engine. Least some mods here are making better progress than HW2. That games been out for over five years, and mods started back then STILL arent fin
Yes to all. I am DANMAN, creator of 7 DEADLY SINS, the mod that was just mentioned. You can accomplish all the things you mentioned. I will be keeping a look out for what you are coming out with. Good luck, and let us know if you need any help. DANMAN
Manshooter, This is terrific news. I just had a brief chance to read this thread. This is something I ahve always struggled with, especially for ships and planets. Hopefully the new tools will be of some assistance as they were for you. I am also curious to see what DXT compression and Alpha channel settings you are using. Some use DTX5 compression, while others use DTX3 compression. I am looking forward to the wrath of the Xin, and the new univer
Teal, Glad you liked your fight against the Rogues, and you eventually beating them. The Rogues and the new pirates add a whole new element to the game, where any of your frigates or structures can be "siezed" by the pirates or Rogues, and then used against you. Using your own computer control (through research and the LRM frigate) is the perfect counter, or can be used as an offensive weapon of your own. Game mechanics like this will be changing slightly in 2.0, b
I am looking forward to this new expansion as a way to further increase the enjoyment of Sins, as well as the possibilities for modding. Can't wait until I can take full advantage of this expansion. DANMAN
Major Stress, Just thought I should add my two cents, and try to convince you to stay with your quest. I also have to live with the hardcodes as you know, and the ship movement thing is the worst. For example, my resurrection of the Star Control games calls for contant, dynamic motion. This is not done in Sins. But, since it is the best game engine for space type games out there, I am willing to live with it. Now, to let you know what I have accomplis

No one who is online has this mod out yet...mabey we should organise a certain day for people to play this mod online vs each other.... please, i'm waiting to pwn someone as Rouge
Most of us play over the Hamachi LAN network, and completly avoid ICO. We do this so that we don't have to worry about port fowarding and such, as anyone can host easily with Hamachi. Come join us!</
MajorStress, This is the reason why I almost quit. The hardcodes are mod breaking, and frustrating as we both know. To see you quit in this project is a huge blow to the modding community. It would an honor and my pleasure to keep your mod going in your absence, at least until the day that the developers can hopefully write in the game enginge coding that will allow things like ship movement to be modded. I also wanted to let you know that I have benn success
Wow, Looks like I have the pleasure and the honor of posting the 2000th post here in the 7DS forum. Just to clear the air, if Sins of a Solar Empire 2 come out, trust that I will make a mod for it and bring 7 DEADLY SINS to that game as well. As far as a name goes, that is left up to discussion, although it may just keep the same name for recognition purposes. LostWLD ran into some problems with his hardware, so he needs to redo everything from scratch. A
Master of Orion will be making more of an appearance in 2.0, as the Atlantians and the Orions from MOO are the same race in 7DS. Also, things like the Stellar converter, the Black Hole generator, and High-Energy Focus will be in version 2.0. The races will come soon as well. Trouble is with MOO, you could get different ship stlyes depending on what color you chose, so I will have to make my own stlye ships for each race. Also, more Star Control races will be in 3.0 a
The answer is yes, if the mods are able to be merged and full permission is granted by thr mod authors. Good thing I know most of them..... DANMAN
HMMMMMmmmmmm..... DANMAN
Now that is a nice looking planet! Glad to see that you worked it out. Please post if you have any more problems. Also, have you experienced a limit on engine emitters as well as flair points? I noticed in your video you have spotlights coming out of your Battleship, and I was wondering if you used flair points and if they gave you problems. Awesome work Mansh00ter! DANMAN

DANMAN, in all honesty, that was an excellent storyline. Being able to connect multiple sci-fi universes the way you did...you've got a gift. Excellent work!
Thank you very much. Comments like that are whay keep me going. Also expect more, as I
ManSh00ter, I will have to check the resolution of the planet textures. I thought that may cause it as well. I am convinced however that the DX3 or DX5 DDS format is behind the error. I hope that is the case, and not a resolution problem, as I think I used the same resolution as vanilla Sins planets use. Also, with regards to meshes, I have been successful in making different sized planets and stars, so I may be able to help you there. A lot has to do w
That's because they are not released yet in that format. Sparda, with Sovereign, I have to agree... DANMAN

Then all hell would break loose from all the nit picky trek fans bitching about the little micro defiants (with equally micro quantums) Sins does NOT like dds saved specifically as normal maps. found this out the hard way. Try saving a sins normal map as a dxt5-nm and watch the result. You will see what i mean. It only likes dxt5 argb interpoliated alpha.

double post, sorry DANMAN
Greetings all, I like the achievments talk going, so keep it coming. Also, for those of you interested, and in need of some good reading, here is the complete Atlantian storyline. Of course, I reserve the right to change things, but I am pretty solid about this story: History of the Atlantians <span s
