Munching away. I am using the updated files from SOGE. So thinks guys. Just need to find and squish remaining bugs and errors: that annoying graphics error on the Terran texture, various atmospheres I am very sure I didn't get to last time...., and other polishes.
Another Problem: your .fx files are broken. lol I shall fix them O.O
Eh i got bound up trying to figure out the new fx files... Will continue working on adding lines to the main files.
xxx Edit: ya... it won't be... the constants, strings, and other one or two files will be wacked.... 1.3 will just be the base files after I clean them up, 1.31-1.4 will be the fun interesting render files I shall tweak.
Not yet. As I just got Rebellion. But as they only added a few lines for the meshes I should get it out today with no issue. The really interesting part should be the graphics files which I still need to look over again since they updated then to use AS filtering.

You fail to realize that tech in Star Wars seemingly NEVER increases, and in some cases falls apart. The Republic did collapse during the New Sith War. It had 1000 years of continuous war. Then pretty much outlawed warfare for the next 1000. The Leviathan cruiser (600m) could probably go toe to toe with a Dreadnaught.

Hmm put in the legal disclaimer like that the bottom of the first post. Word it well. GW has shut down WH mods for ST: Armada, Homeworld 1 & 2, SW:Empire at War, and doubtless many other games. The problem GW has, other than being greedy, is that they don't have a fan-base. Not that people don't like it, it just doesn't have the maturity or critical mass like Star Wars or other franchises have to truly have a fan-base. And one with clout at that. One that can fight the
The mod hasn't been updated in... well... forever. I bet there has been a patch or two since then. As for the darkness, I changed the planet rendering files in the core of the game to get it to where I want it. I WILL get back to this I've just have... issues... that I need to deal with before going back to this. Making a 1700 planet SW galaxy and then loosing it made me stop working on and playing SINS and SOGE. :( So I haven't forgot
The problem is that GamesWorkshop will issue a Cease and Desist order. GW does NOT want a WH40K mod to come out. Ever.

It might. Well you are using it in ENT so there's an issue. If you you use the regular skyboxes with my planets in ENT you will have moon issues most likely. Just put it all together and i'll upgrade SOGE to diplo. And I didn't kill the skyboxes. I ripped them out like the planets and stars and put my new ones in. And the lighting is different so yes the ships WILL look different in different star lighting.
No wasted resources here. :P I may upload two texture options for those who REALLY need the space. (I don't see why. If you ran your game with whatever mod you want with Sins Plus you'll be fine. It's not that much bigger than that. Plus Diplo seems to be really good with resources.) I may continue tweaking here and there. But it will stay as it is for the most part.
no. i'm not wasting a texture on a few specks of yellow. it would add 150mb+ to the mod and mem usuage. and ambient light maybe what it's called in rl but in the game it's the ambient texture. the lighing is unattached to it and they don't effect eachother.

Yup. No alpha on the textures. All planets are bright really. Even the moon is bright as hell and it's just rocks! Same with mercury. Venus is bloody bright due to clouds. Water, clouds, and snow are VERY reflective (50-60%, 70-80%, and 80-90% if I remember correctly). I did tone down the glow patch on all the planets though.. I'll upload it tomorrow.... NU 1.1 Full is up.
