i'm honestly having such a hard time taking this serious - you want them to allow modding, but then complain about bugs, which really don't correspond. every game that had modding i played the modders added content, not fixed crashes... what's the purpose of this thread again? where is the usefulness in it? modding is coming soon, it's not like they can just go poooof, modding allowed. they have to make a system so the p2p works so each player has same mods so they don'

nat first i didnt suggest because no modding and gpg had demigods planned already if i remember correctly and if not they probably could make better guys, but if modding comes ideas are good to put up and then a modder can help the designer

What would this podcast be for? Are you sure Frogboy will do this(not to make him sound awful, but if this is for your random site he and he's busy i doubt he would)? hope it all works out
i find that Oak works best as a Tank. stacking speed items on him seems a bit strange, none of his abilities suggest hit and run tactics at all. he's very focused on stand and fight type of stuff. its often not so important to obsess over running down your opponent for a high risk kill. you've achieved your goal if you can just manage to force them out of a lane without taking too much damage yourself. i'd much rather rely on a team-mate like Reg

someone mentioned two oaks - they could not get near them. would you allow oak and ub? you won;t touch them with pent and spit, then foul grasp, then another pent spit combo. again, people are afraid of dups when in fact nothing is wrong, it's teamwork. and of course if you are rook and they have two ub's, that sucks and all but it's not ridiculously unbalanced, they ahve two guys that can counter you, it happens. would you bitch as much if it was ub and reg? probably not, even thoguh are bot

nothing is wrong with double - i have a thousand big posts with it - if people complain they don't understand basic logic - when they hate doubles they tend to complain about two spits or something - they blame the move when it tends to actually be the team work
the game is too often decided by the first kill Wrong. And why would you want them to take development time away from fixing the BUGS, instead of rewarding people for losing consistently?
your asking a loaded question - good try again, we already talked about this, i'm starting to question your ability to read - the rules are to be added to help give wiggle room, not to help the worst
The options are about as pointless as those racing games that let the loser catch up in the end and win even though the loser raced the game perfectly. I see no point in rewarding failure, game option or not. They can make mistakes and still win, they don't need the game to autobalance so whatever you do the entire 30 minutes doesn't matter.
this game can't be called competitive - rooks tower don't place half the time, oak's ward

32 Replies 77,992 Views

let them be options - the 'pros' can play without them, whose who want it can have it. lot of people are complaining about premades- that means a lot of people play casually(don't want to get serious people to paly a ton). this offers those casual players a way back in the game when their team is down - people make mistakes, casual players arn't gonna be experts, if they can learn form it they can get better and actualy compete in the match

i love your posts: you havn't posted anything reasonable suggesting they should sue, and take the 'high road' out of the argument. fine by me, you aren't fooling anyone ps- i have 6 beta keys left for those who want them

27 Replies 158,983 Views

you two saying they should sue is a great example of our legal system: dear god that things seems similar, we should sue please, give me a valid reason for them to sue. i'll even let you assume they can shut s2 down and get some cash. but hey, we were making a dota game!!!1!!1 - letting people work on a huge project that is what they are getting money to live off of then shutting it down now is f***ed up. blizzard is a pretty damn good company, pr

i wasn't under the impression blizzard needs more money. and i don't think you understand business law as much as you make it out to be. i'm no expert, but if you can provide some examples that'd be great because clearly you know more than me. "if they love dota that much they'll get over it" - have you heard of DRM? DRM is bad, people don't like DRM, people pass up games with DRM just because DRM. What does that mean - upset customers don't use products. upset do
