Hi, is there a detailed description about how diplomacy subsystem works in the game? Here are some of my problems: 1. I don't understand exactly the numbers on diplomacy screen, I don't know why there is a 0 between a rival and me who I have attacked while changing the view placing my rival into the center I see 9.80 between me and this rival. 2. I don't know why I don't get 3 points after a mission succeeded as it was before this expan

The 1.05 pacth for Entrenchment seems to resolve this problem with fonts.
I changed to Win7, and now I have to absolutely turn off the ClearType feature in the fonts window to get correct framerate in the game. There must be something in this software around using fonts. I hope that the new expansion, Diplomacy, will give a solution to this issue, too.
So, I may have found a better solution. I turned on the font smoothing in windows (right click on My Computer, then change to Advanced tab, select the Performance setting, and check the "Smooth edges of screen fonts" box). I got back the default game fonts without any FPS drop.

However I found a solution: I changed the font used by the game. See a topic about the issue and my fix for i
Have I missed something or don't we really know anything about the upcoming updates (namely 1.17 and 1.03)? Last official note what I know was announced on 2 May, stating that these would be released last week.

We all who have this problem should send them a letter to [email protected] attaching the dxdiag file. It may help them more.

Is it true? I don't remember any slowdowns similar to what I'm experiencing in SoaSE by some other games using bloom. And before Entrenchment, this game ran nearly flawlessly with bloom, too, if I don't fail.

It's curious for me, that a 9800GTX+ can't handle well the bloom effect in this game. I edited some fx files trying to do something with this issue, but nothing helped. There are two blu

Yes, as I wrote, they can get into a mutual alliance with each other. I don't know wether it has a real meaning, but one time I saw planet vision and ship vision agreements, too, between two AIs. But yeah, I except the similar, playing against hard AIs, you are their most important target much more time.
Does anyone know, how the diplomacy works between two AIs? If I watch a recorded game, changing the viewpoint to one of the AI players, sometimes I see the diplomacy icon flashing, and opening the diplomacy panel I notice some changes in its relation to other (e.g. new cease fire, planet vision agreements), however the relationship meter stays at zero.
Sad. The bloom can boost the feeling. And hides the illusion-breaking disappearance of ship bodies by most blowups.
Hi, is this normal, that the bloom drops down the framerate a lot? My game runs well on highest settings during bigger combats, too, but the bloom crashes the experience. I tried wide range of drivers, but no one could do it better. Any help, suggestion, experience?
I may have found a solution. I think, there must be something around the fonts used by the game. So, I copied a lot of fonts from my Fonts folder to the "[GameFolder]\Font" folder (typically it's the "C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Font\" path). And then, I edited the ListItem.font file, like this: TXT Font Height 14 &nb
Is there a manual for this expansion? I didn't find any. Thanks your help.
Hi, I'm playing Sins of a Solar Empire on a machine with 9800 GTX card. I turned the AA with 4 samples on. It works fine, but the edges of the objects not so close to the camera become "flickering" white lines. So, in a big distance every small objects get "white fur", and it's not so beauty. Can you help me? Regards, trigorin
As I see, your fleet doesn't have textures. When I change my grapics settings in the game, I experience the same, I must to wait a short time, one minute perhaps to get back the textures. I think, the game reloads all of the graphics system, that is the cause. Did you wait enough for the textures?
