Cool! another mod to play! Looks interesting, I do have to agree with SpardaSon21 and looks like the ships windows have team colour in them also. Should be fixable though without too much trouble hopefully. I could lend a hand there if you like. Best of luck with it.
Well curse that ManSh00ter for showing me Sculptris--even though I have no way of usefully exporting it's textures for Sins...sigh. I've been overrun by work for more than a month now and tinkering with the model and an occiasonal ability tweak is all I have had time for.So I decided to redo the Yggdrasil mothership model for two reasons: give it a more sinister and organic feel allow the model to physically
Here is what I found. It can only be seen by overlaying the 2 different textures of the Vasari Corvettes. Is it just a coincidence?
I see it. I'm not spelling it out either. Thanks Sinperium!
Man you guys are lucky.... gods and kings for only $30!!! In Oz, we are being ripped off for $50.... which is a whole $10 less than the original game price.... expansions should not be the same price as original game.......
Yes I agree! $45 on Steam for me, a full 50% more. Why is this? The Aussie dollar has been around parity for quite a while now. Not piracy per say, but it stinks as bad. No deal!

I completely agree with you harpo, & your tool DOES work as you have described, I am not disputing that. Thank you again for a fantastic tool. If people find its not working, then they have done something wrong, its a simple as that. Like many things, there's more than 1 way to do it, like the way I have described, perhaps not that well, I'd have to admit but its the best I can do for now. Perhaps I shouldn't have if it makes people more confused. If so I am sorry, ple
Well that"s exactly what I did at first also. But I get a "ConvertData_OriginalSin.exe has stopped working" error for every file when I do that, and its quicker just to restart my computer when that happens. This is why I replaced the 3 ConvertData's In the old StadockGames Folder. In any case, it works for me that way. Perhaps it could also for others that are having trouble too.
Did you rename the 3 Rebellion convertData's to ConvertData_ OriginalSins.exe, ConvertData_Entrenchment.exe & CovertData_Diplomacy.exe? Sorry if I was a bit unclear on that, it should work. It does for me.
You can get it to work with a bit of a work around. If you copy the ConvertData_Rebellion.exe and put it 3 times in the Progam Files(86)>StardockGames>SoaSE folder in place of the OriginalSins, Entrenchment & Diplomacy ConvertData. I think if an appropriate ConvertData is not found with the Utility it defaults to the Old Game folder's Covertdata's in the StardockGames Folder, so by replacing them with the Rebellion ConvertData does the trick. You may want to put the
1 thing you could try that may help indicate what is happening is to try "No-Optimize" conversion of the xsi. file to mesh. and see what that looks like in game.
No, sorry. I won't be doing anything with it until at least Rebellion is released, maybe. I am thinking of doing a completely different mod all together, which will take priority if do do it.
So what is this 2nd shader exactly? I was under the impression that you could now use something other than Phong and or as well as. Can it be any other shader? Or is what I am thinking entirely different to what this new shader is? Edit; nevermind
They should have just left the patch out there. We did not care. A new race for us to play with instead of just TEC!
Well You have to remember that the whole reason for us even getting any beta's is so bug's and elements of game play can be trialed out. If, and as it would seem was the case, many of the features the Dev's needed to get feedback from were not functioning then it would obviously be a waste of time Who knows why 0.75 was mistakenly rel
Started a thread a few weeks ago about this exact same thing https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/419557 Man there is tons of threads!
Yes, seems to be more of a downdate as it has gone from 0.75 to 0.62 now. Perhaps we weren't supposed to get 0.75 yet.
Thanks guys, I did see it already by accessing the .bik file as mentioned above. Now it seems there may have been an update or downdate as it seems. Was 0.75 but now 0.62. Everything is working as it should now. Though the Advent are no longer playable and the intro has been trimmed. Perhaps we got an update we weren't supposed to in 0.75. Has everybody else had this happen?
Yeah! thanks Ryat, I did do that but it still doesn't work.
NOTE: If you are also having this problem, you may still watch the awesome intro movie by installing a free . bik file player Intro movie file is located in C / Programfiles(x86) / Steam / steamapps / common / sins of a solar empire rebellion / Movie [e digicons][/e]
I can't get the intro movie to activate [e digicons]:'([/e] Have tried 1) re-downloaded game 2) set "ShowOpeningCinematic TRUE" in the settings file 3) checked Movie folder and I do have a OpeningCinematic.bik file. &nbs
Nope I got nothing, How do I re-download from steam? Makes me wonder what else got missed in my update. Edit; ok, so I have to download the whole game again [e digicons]>:([/e] .Hope this works. Dam you steam or crappy internet or what ever caused this nonsense!
Where? I don't get any intro now, just a screen of the different titans. It's not fair! [e digicons]:'([/e]
WhooHoowe! I love vaginas. Just keeps getting better all the time [e digicons][/e] Jokes aside, I think that is a pretty cool looking ship.
If you love your modding, which I am sure many of you do, good news there is yet another game to mod coming soon, Check it out! They said this . in there forums which is worth checking out also. I hope I don't get in trouble for posting this as it may be considered a bit of a leg up to what might be co
