This has also happened to me during my first game of Entrenchment. Also, sometimes they don't even bother to form up at the gravity well. I had a group of LRMs, LFs, and a capship grouped to jump, and only the capital ship moved towards the edge of the gravity well.

I've only ever played the original EU, and I found it to be be very unintuitive in terms of combat resolution. Nothing tells you how to win battles, and you can go from victory to defeat in a matter of moments even with all the advantages you can muster. That being said, it was an incredibly deep game. If you can stand the stupidity of the combat system, it's a pretty good empire game.
Is this going to make the game unable to load 1.11 replays?
How do I go about watching these replays? Specifically; where do I put the files in Vista, that I've downloaded?
AppData -> Local -> Ironclad Games -> Sins of a Solar Empires -> and then put them in the proper folder depending on the type (ie: single or multiplayer).
It's a sad day when your grovelling before the Torians...
I'm reminded of that scene in the B5 movie 'Legend of the Rangers' wherein the Minbari are making fun of the humans for their ugly ship designs. I love the Kodiak look. It's a box bristling with guns, and fits the flavour of the TEC rapid conversion program wonderfully. It even says in the manual that it was originally designed to blow paths through asteroid fields. You don't exactly need a sleek design for that.
