I have to say, I am completely behind the OP here. I love his suggestions and would love to see this implemented. I am an Economy/Turtling player that saves the offence for after the research. Everything you said would work perfectly for that playstyle. I haven't played enough to say how balanced this would be, or if it really works for the whole differentiating the rebel/loyalist, but I would love to at least try this out.

I have two things to add to the discussion: First off I haven't seen the titans as that OP. A level one or two Ankylon Titan jumped into my gravity well and my level 4 Marza gave as well as he got and the titan was the one that retreated. Then he jumped back in but I had maxed out hangers and my bombers raped him and he ran again. I never had a titan during this time. So I have yet to see this OP claim. However, assuming that it is OP, perhaps instead of having to research all four levels
yeah, thats a fix, its just it automatically added that whenever you locked teams in Vanilla/Entrenchment/Diplomacy. Just something to be aware of
I just played a game online, 2v2. teams were locked, we kicked butt. Other two left, we didn't get a win screen. decided to keep playing. owned everything, even the other galaxy where the vasari titan is. I tried to go to war with him, no dice. Button was grayed out. Still no win screen. I quit, and then he got the win screen. Based on that, I'm assuming that the locked teams function didn't trigger the allied victory condition, which meant we were stuck until someone quit. We wer
The capture the planet gametype has a vasari fleet guarding the target world
The title says it all. I was playing on a Huge Multi Random, had made allies with one guy because he was shooting off superweapons like nothing else, and was hostile to the other three players in my galaxy. I found a couple good choke points, double starbase and titan in the middle one, and then researched the win the game tech. (On that note I feel like its way too easy to get there) I sat there, waiting for every single AI to come screaming at me in one massive rush, but instead....I never
AWESOME :-D Can't wait can't wait can't wait! Three guesses on what I'm doing during the long weekend and the first two don't count! :-)
Okay, I have beside me a list of glitches/bugs that I have found in the game. some of these I have found in other posts, so they will be dropped. In no particular order: TEC Akkan Cap Ship (Colonizer) This ship's automatic ability when right clicking on a planet (or the system when zoomed out) is colonize, instead of move to. This also creates issues when you select a group of ships including a colony cap ship, as it registers all ships as "go colonize" and only sends the Akkan, sin
