Starkers, you say you found a way to force Win8 to behave like a traditional desktop, is it through 3rd party tools?

This is why I only keep my SC2 account on blizz. Everytime I unbanned my WoW account, even with a reset email/sec question/authenticator someone would still get it. In the end I decided that, even if its untrue, I'll just believe blizz is selling my info to make money on the side, and as such I'll just never get my wow account unbanned again.
I'll avoid it just because its the next in the "tick" line. ME was horrible. (Tick) XP was good. (Tock) Vista was horrible. (Tick) 7 was good. (Tock) 8 (I will avoid until this can be detirmined to not follow the preceding example)
It's pretty useful in my inhouse versus matches. My buddy who plays a TR has TAR by the time the first pirate bounty goes off. He also plays in a way that he has literally 3-4 colony frigates waiting to take a planet each as soon as it finishes. Using this strategy, he has a super expansionist strategy early on. He's able to attack with his Marza+L.Frigates one direction, and colonize 3+ planets immediately in the other direction.
VL Players rejoice, introducing DST 0.4. I've revamped all of the DS planettypes (that were colonizable) and adjusted SttC values & properties accordingly. In DS 0.10 the numbers & effects were copy/pasted from a vanilla asteroid. So this caused all planets to vanish when consumed for one, rather than leaving dead asteroids. It also meant that stripping gave you practically nothing in return so it was not even worth it to strip, except perhaps to prevent an
here anyway to find out what specifically caused the minidump? Perhaps by opening the minidump itself?
If you run the Dev exe, it gives you more details about the problems. It might not say the cause of the crash, but it also might tell you it too
There is nothing to capture grav well wise, its an uncolonizable along side the graveyard. Much like plasma storms and such. There might be structures or ships found within them that are caputrable but the grav well itself is not. Well some are not, a work around with some of the unique structres have a milita owning the grav well. and in theory you can cap it. But it d
I made a mistake with Relic. Mostly my own ignorance, anyways added that 1 back into my pack. I again double-checked deepspace however. Me and a friend kept playing games, and he'd surrender repeatedly until I could find a map with a deepspace node on it. (I noticed the problem on random generated maps, so I wanted to keep that criteria the same. Maybe pre-generated maps don't have the bug?) When I found a game with the deepspace node, after he had quit so I had no mor
It doesn't work or me, I tried it on my VL scout, and TR colonizer, I even went with the TR cap ship with the capture ship ability. Unless I'm missing something, it's simply not working for me. If I could get it working I'd gladly keep those planettypes (I don't even know what the heck relic is supposed to do, it just seems to cycle invulnerability on me over and over, and doesn't seem to be anything remarkable)
I'm releasing a personal made mod-update that I made as an addon for DS 0.10 Alpha. I made this primarily for personal taste, my friends liked it, so I'm pushing it here. Be sure to put it above DS 0.10 in the load order. Not below it. DS Tweaks 0.1: (DS 0.10, SoaSE 1.031) - Reverted Max Fleet & Max Capital Ship supply to vanilla values - Fixed a bug in the entity manifests file. Possible CTD fix. - Removed Graveyard/Relic/Dee
DS 0.10 is working with 1.031 for me
Has to be researched. Then you use the Frigate Colonizers (or Scout for the Vasari) to do the job. The ability is the same as the one that takes over the Neutral Asteroids.
Is it TEC only? I've gone through the vasari tree's a million times and couldn't find anything for it
I was in a game tonight and was trying to figure out howto capture derelict ships, is this functionality just simply broken / not existant in the alpha?
I am wondering if DS includes Yarlens hotfix? If it does not, can we safely enable it? (Does it have to be installed before, after, or does it not matter?)
So I'm very eager to try this, it will be my first time trying such an encompassing mod. I'm also starting off on the Rebellion version, since its considered alpha I'll keep that in mind of course. However this brings a big concern to me, this appears to cater to making games significantly longer & more indepth, I've noticed in my personal games (pre 1.03, that patch scares me with its minidumps) that I always had significant lag after long duration games.
I haven't played since the new patch hit, but the fear of the minidumps are making me not even want to try. I sure hope it does get fixed. I can only play Divinity 2 DKS / Reckoning Amalurr / Skyrim so much before I start craving my galactic conquests.
Great gif! nice find
Tonight I was showing 3 prospective buyer friends the game, they wanted me to stream the game. About 2hours in, the slowdown hit. Hiccups every minute for 5s, constant 15fps zoomed out with all lowest settings (3.7ghz here, so not a horrible processor) They've all walked away and have zero interest in playing. "Well whats the point in having super large maps, if you just simply can't play it? and if it's just small scale maps with skirmishes, why would I want it ov
Also gives a more flexible option to Vasari Loyalists, as then you can abandon a planet without stripping it (for an ally, for example).
I like this. At the very least, being able to choose which planets to strip. Just last night I intended to give my buddy the planet, but I left the Jarrasul on auto, and it colonized when I wasnt paying attention. Had no choice but to strip it, very disappointing.
As was mentioned several times on the boards, people think they're running from giant insectoids and thats why theyre ships are shaped as they are. (Corvettes, Titans, Jarrasul) If thats the case, I vote that theyre running from a fleet of giant RAID canister's. <
I like the overall direction of this mod. The only change I'm not enjoying tremendously is the shipboard labs change, 4 ranks to get .8 is rather rough, and i'm not even the kind of person who bumrush stripped my homeworld like some did. I understand why it had to be done, just don't like it
If you build it in their well early on, i think its extremely likely they will engage (and maybe destroy) before its upgraded. If you however take a little extra time to fully upgrade it, then just warp it in, thats a huge surprise gambit.
I am running a Phenom II 955 @ 3.7ghz with 4gb of ram. 1920x1080, and I barely lag in SP games. However whenever I'm in an MP game, about 2hours in with 6+ it starts to become unbearable. I can have my friend who's with me drop, and once the syncing is gone my lag literally drops off the face of the planet.
If I was in Stant's situation, I'd buy the game, then download the crack and be done with it. If SD (Does Brad count for this?) claims to be against "stupid DRM" then I see no fault in using a crack for the game, in that particular situation, IF and ONLY IF you bought the game. What can be more of a stupid DRM then being unable to use something you bought without being connected to the big daddy servers. Note: I'm not in Stant's position,
Great idea's, well thought out. As a primary VL player, I have to say I hope they don't destroy any of the current tech stuff, however it would make sense to change the lab tech
