I've had this happen to me intermittently, but never regularly or predictably. Just exitting the game and starting it again resolves the problem for me, and it never returns except on fresh starts. I'm using a pretty generic logitech laser mouse, no bells or whistles. I wish I had some technical insight to offer, but the best I've got is "It's very weird."

I've been through the forums pretty thoroughly to see if this has already come up and I couldn't find it... aplogies if I missed it... but has anyone else experienced this: Sometimes when I start a new game (not always), and I load into my home system looking at my two construction ships, I get absolutely no response from the mouse wheel as far as zooming goes. I can pan around the map, change my angle, everything else about the camera works, but for some reason I can't zoom.

Incidentally, I found that I was completely unable to install the full version of the game without uninstalling the demo. I got a similar "fatal error" but it occured before the installer even began to copy files. My advice to anyone; uninstall the demo before you try to do anything with the full version!
