Okay I have download a few mods and they are in the mod folder. I can see the mod in the game, and I can click enable. How do I play the game with the mod on. As far as I can tell they never seem to do anything.
Who do you play as? As Vasari mine is Crystal>2-3 scouts>capship factory>space egg>one military lab>reasearch assilents>start bulding some assilents>and take over the asteroid thats always next door. I wait on the ice/volcaninc until I find them. As tec or advent I don't know yet, since I have only played each of them once or twice. edi:t I forgot to add with vasari you need those first stage missles ASAP.
I decided I would play another game as the TEC and after that another as the advent. So far I am really missing my phase missles, and having less ships standing by for pirates. On the other hand spamming LRMS is a lot of fun.

I think hull and shields should be done later in the game, when you have the extra money to do it. Its not like the phase missles for the vasari which are must as soon as you can.

I hate all the DRM. I can live with say an activation for an online game. Or maybe lock out the online multiplayer unless I register the product or something. Maybe make an account so you can play online and register the key (think quake wars). Since its really an online game I am fine with that. I would not mind playing online if I know the games did not take so long. If I had the time, however, I think it would be an amazing game to play online.

Teching up the weapons tree sounds like one of the best thing that can be done. By more then one fleet I ment 1 fleet jumps in but I have say 2 3 or 4 different fleet leaders as I like to call them. Each leader gets a few of its own guys. For example one subfleet will have the evacuator and its supports. Another sub fleet can attack the planet but is also able to fight (think Vulkoras) and of course there may be some other basic attack wing with out and extra missions.&n
