Apparently the developers at CA wanted each individual man in a 120 man unit of Line Infantry to act individually of his counterparts while reloading, charging, routing, picking his nose or getting mauled by artillery. now multiply the 120 men by about 15 and you get... about 1800 or so individual men doing individual things PER FACTION. And there can be up to 8 factions on a map at a time. Needless to say, the online community is non-existant.</
