But this goes back the original topic why do stats really matter? many peoplel have 300+ games and still play like they just got the game. But then again does any of this really matter just play the game and enjoy it for what it is ignore stats if you want, or don't ignore it really is subjective.

I think that people should be given a choice i actually belive that if the more experienced players set an example then we can make it so that we don't need anyone of these rules. In many cases your team abandons you mid game should that count as a loss for you? I also think that the current system is good nothing we can do will prevent how importnat people think stats are that is purely subjective some people don't care who they play with and then there are "skilled servers" That as

i think that leaving should equal surrender so many of my games were ruined because people quit within the first half-hour if you don't hve 2 hours to spare don't join a huge multi game that you know will take that long. And the sad thing is almost EVERYONE quits not surrenders when i first started i surrendered when i lost a game but soon i started seeing no one actually surrendered. SO what we need to do is set an example and surrender when we actually lose in a fair game. The only exceptio

As the title says whats your starting strategy and why do you do it. For me it changes depending on my starting place and how much time i have. If i have a great starting place with no close attackers i econ up then build big fleets if im surrounded by people then i rush and try to frag 1 of them as soon as possible. Not very good at eithier but im at the point where im pretty good at everyting but not really sure of what kind of strategy i want to pursue sometimes i ca

i agree with everything you say Vasari do have strongest fleet that is once you get the economy. But how do you servive midgame becasue usually you get destroyed then by the TEC since their economy helps them so much.

Reply to Marza in Strategy

In the end none of this matters because the Marza will continue to be awesome lol. I just had a game where me and my allies just spammed marza's about 20 total if i remember and backed it up with a good fleet and it absolutely steamrolled everything in its path; and once we got them all up to lvl 6 and above there was no chance for anything in there way I wonder why the races don’t have an equivalent in their long range bombardment ships the Vasari have something close to it

The thing is that this overclock worked great with crysis a much more demanding and advanced game graphics wise and my overclock passed many diffrent benchmarks 3d Mark 06, super PI, Etc my overclock was most stable, i think that game is what the problem is. I don't mind if i have to lower it slightly but i wondering if anyone else encountered this. Because this game does not even come to stress test this computer has passed on various benchmarks.

I lowered the Cpu overclock a tad now its orking fine with no crashes but need more time to tell for sure. Because i have gone longer with no crashes before.

Alright i have had this game probably since it has come out and since then i have upgraded my system from time to time to keep up with the increased amounts of graphics and processing power needed to run the games such as crysis. But after upgrading to vista i have encountered a problem the game always crashes randomly maybe 3 hours or even directly after starting it just stops working. What that means for me is that the game countinues running in the backrgound music noise everything

thanks for your reply Kiedjor its ovbious you put lots of work into this mod and it shows. What i as thinking was that at first they don't attack at all; because its hard enough to get a sbale economy up and running do, some research to get the planets next door, establish those etc. So if at first until you had something like 2-3 planets they didn't attack that would be very usefu lor the ability to turn them off.

I really like this mod it really introduces some new ideas and lots of great effort in it. But there is one flaw that put me off i can't even start a game! I start and then i get mobbed by independent fleets from all the surrouding planets same thing for the AI and the game ends before it started its nice for them to do that from time to time but as it is i can't even expand.

why does making an entrechment mod prevent you from updating this? As far as i know you jsut have to change some registry files.

Thing i am discussing now is how it ruins the game for people looking for a SMART and thoughtful game not just one player killing and destroying someone spamming carriers. I know as well as anyone else that they will lose but what happens when they end up on your team? Or when your facing 3 of them and you know that there will be no challenge at all at destroying them? That is my question.

I don't do anything diffrent then you do i find that it works well and if i ever have extra resources that i can spare i build scouts and send'em out. But if you want to be more advanced and start doing more effective managment you could do some research into it and manually order them around, but i find that, that is too much work and spamming them works better [e digicons][/e] .

That doesn't change the fact that it ruins the game. How do you fix that?(serious question)

I guess this goes here. So here is what i see in a normal multiplayer game. 1.Research carrier 2.Spam carrier 3WIN This is what i saw when i played today and the scary thing? Most of the time its too effective to be countered! Lets say for a moment that I just suck and normally most people can counter it. That doesn't change the fact that it ruins the game for people who want to enjoy some actual strategy! I think that it has to stop. /end rant</

Ok here is an update: Yesterday i restarted from one of my previous saves and tried 1 of 2 things. 1. I tried doing the missions and found out that i absoulitly hate them! Almost all the missions that AI gave me were to attack planets in diffrent star systems places where i don't know how strong the oppistion is and where they are. or something a little more resaonable attack other factions but even that was difficult to do; having the most planets under my control i controlle

Wow great work! But when if ever will this be updated to the later patches? Since i really want to download and use this. You should also try to incorporate the Explosions mod as well.

Lately I've gotten back into Sins after seeing it named PC game of the year on IGN. And I have encountered something that causes alot of trouble. Late in a game after you've set up a good economy and well defended choke points, what do you do when the AI gangs up on you? For example: I had started a game with TEC and the game was going very well i controlled about 10-12 planets and my economy was great lots of fleets, etc, etc. I was FFA and i was basically ignoring what ever m
