I'm not sure if this is an actual bug or just me. I had a group of 5 starfish. Wherever I would send them, I'd get a red attacking line, but they would never fire. No damage was dealt to their target either. This also happened to my starbase whenever it would use meteor swarm. It would cast, but no animation, and no damage. After I reloaded that particular save, the bug went away. My Starfish were firing before I reloaded the save. Is this weird behaviour happening to anyone e

First of all, I was a defensive nut even before entrenchment. Basically, what I like about sins the most is how awesome your fleets can become. My favorite part of the game is greeting an enemy invasion fleet at one of my planets with my best fleet and all the defenses the planet has to offer. And the best part: Not even sure if I'm going to win. It really gets the andrenaline going. So really, I suppose, I like the very immersive experience. The feeling of pride in my fleets, that I
Hmm... Haven't seen that behaviour. However, one of my seekers presented some annoying behaviour in my last game. It warps into the system, activates the detect mines things. Gets the nearest mine in range, and then procedes into a wide turn, brushing up against the mine it just detected! I had to start microing it. There should really be some checking to make sure the scouts, at least, do not set off the mines they are trying to detect. To say nothing of the ships that come to destro
Odd thing I noticed about the orgov. They were firing against one of my caps, doing pretty heavy damage. There were 5 or 6. My cap, having finished with it's current target began to move towards the next one. This brought it out of the paths of several previously fired torpedoes. The torpedo's animation, apparently, can only fly straight. When they reached where my cap had previously been, they proceded to explode and damage my cap, which at that point, was quite a ways away. Not a bu

Wow, that was... quite prompt! Thank you very much. And on a friday no less [e digicons]^_^[/e]
I'm wondering if anyone else is getting this bug. I've built an Aerie Drone Host and set all three of it's squadrons to Homing Mines. This is good. Once the sqaudrons are fully built, I ordered them to deploy by clicking on the squadron, clicking the Deploy Mines order and clicking where in the gravity well I would like the mines to go. I get the green arrow, everything looks fine, save for one problem. The squadrons just sit there. If I mouse over them, I get the green arrow again, b
Question: Is there a limit on the number of mines you can make? Because so far, I haven't seen one. They don't seem to affect fleet supply, slots... anything. If there is no limit now, I'd be really into one showing up. Or at least having some sort of cost for creating them. Having them come for free, at the amount of damage they can do to a fleet...
So, just started messing around with the beta. Starbases. Pretty freaking cool. could use some visual work, but still, pretty freaking cool. My question involves the idea behind individual starbase upgrades. Now, on one hand, I realize that this enables an individual player to customize each individual starbase so it can fulfil a certain task in it's gravity well. However, having a cap on the absolute number of upgrades makes this somewhat difficult, especially if the mission changes,
Yes, but they should be made really weak for balance. Mines are a method of defending, yet their ability to defend is ruined by minesweepers.
Perhaps instead of being made as a weak ship, the ability would merely take a while to use. Not so useful for quick strikes, but in a drawn out assult, it would definitely make a difference to have minesweepers. Just a thought.
