Well I got rid of 4 kols and a few kodiaks and built a couple Sovas and some cruiser carries. Had about 40 bombers and 12 fighters. Still got wiped out. Have you guys played a medium-large galaxy with 5 hard enemies?

I have a fully researched/upgraded TEC fleet with a fleet of 1000 points and 16 capital ships, mostly Kol battleships. About 45-50 Kodiaks, 6 carriers, 8 repair cruisers, 4 support cruisers. A total of 15 fighters and 15 bombers. I invade a computer players gravity well. There is no starbase or defenses, but they have their fully upgraded and sized fleet there. I've got 3 factories making ships and sending them to the battle. I've got the capital ships set to auto use of their abiliti
I really enjoy some of the music on this game and was wondering if you can get a soundtrack somewhere?
I noticed shield mitigation values between starbases differ wildly. From 15-65%. Same research, same race, same level of upgrades, and shield mitigation is all over the place. And it doesn't depend on planet allegience either.
Anyone notice that for the Advent, their hangar starts with 3 available squadrons, then when you research 1 and 2 additional squadrons for the hangar, you still can only a max of 3 squadrons?
TEC and Advent starbases can phase jump?? Anyways, here's why I like Vasari starbases. It only takes 2 military research centers to build it They are built much faster (in the early game) than TEC (I dont know about Advent) In the early game, you can get starbases early, and build them in a gravity well to secure that planet, because it can move around and defend it. They can also move to assist your fledgeling fleet which is good and prevent colony ships or bo
Read above note I forgot Armor points, shield mitigation, hull/shield rapair. Vassari SB can reach 30 armor
Ok. Thanks for the input. I never considered using the big red button, because the possibility of losing a SB with all the investment you have in it is very rare and painful to lose. Besides, when I have a Vassari Starbase, I always have them upgraded to 4 Defense upgrade, 3 offense, and 1 Frontal shield. Very strong I thought. I guess my next question is, assuming you have researched all tech. What are the hull, shield, and weapons points for a fully offense/defensive upgraded Vassari, TEC a
I thouht someone wrote in a thread that TEC could install 4 starbases in one gravity well? I havent been able to do so.. I definitely miss the phase stabilizer though
Well you can upgrade the weapons and defense of the Vassari bases higher than the other races bases...Are you sure there is something similar to aux government for vassari? I never saw it and I play them all the time.. So you would not even put gauss platforms around your planet to prevent a few pirates or something from bombarding your planet from the other side?
Im used to playing the Vassari...Moving starbases and Phase stabilizer are very, very nice. Anyways Im trying the TEC now, and wondering at how the starbase is stuck in position, with limited range. Your enemies can just go to the other side of the planet and avoid it...How do you remedy this and what advantages do people see in the TEC?
It turns out when I was playing entrenchment, I loaded from Impulse. Then when I wanted to play the next day, I loaded from the game directly. Turns out I didnt notice the "Play Entrenchment" menu option and was using "Single Player" menu option, which loads the original game and not the expansion pack Entrenchment
These are save games from Entrenchment. I was playing entrechment, saved the game. And these saves are invalid. I cleared out all old save games before playing
I downloaded Entrenchment, and started playing it...When I try to reload, it says invalid saved games?
Ive played several times on medium-large random against 5 AI's.. Everygame after about 2 hours, it seems like Im getting attacked by pirates, and 2 AI's fleets are attacking 2 different planets of mine. I can't fight 2 fleets of equal size to my 1 at the same time... It appears that my missile/Gauss platforms that I have loaded up around the planets do nothing to stop the enemy. Fighters can take them out. Usually play as Vassari. Im usually slightly ahead in fleet research an
If I change my civilizations capital, won't it lower the loyalty of my plants around the original capital?
I expanded past 2 empty "Planets" and noticed that even though my broadcast centers have connected the travel lines between my plants, that the 2 new planets still remain at 35% loyalty....whats going on?
Im playing my first game...Im on a map with one star but like 25 planets..How do I win? Do I have to go through the system and wipe everyone out? It seems that would take a very long time. Also, I noticed that the research tree is short. Im maxed out, I thought there was going to be more research that opens up once you complete everything on the first screen...
