It doesn't matter what flagship is default. Capital ship, frigate, corvette, all fleets behave the same unfortunately. I tried restarting, etc. The only thing that I haven't done is uninstall and reinstall.

Yes, they all are on default. If I click "leave fleet" on the entire fleet, they begin behaving normally.
Fleets work fine if you assign them to Cntrl 0-9, but if you assign any group of ships into a fleet, none will attack if enemies come into range. Outside of a fleet, carriers still retreat to gravity wells when fighters are launched, frigates, cruisers, and caps all attack at distance and safely. But if you add them to a fleet, they all move in a group if you issue an order, and none will auto target incoming enemies. Reproducable: Eas
My computer didn't lag noticably til I had 918 corvettes. Just an Asus G74S.
This would take the emphasis off of rushes. For example, player A begins expanding and through scouting finds a wreck containing 5000 credits and an adrift alien battleship. Player B scouts player As base, attacks with full attack. Player A sends alien battleship to thwart Bs aggression, and is rewarded for exploring the map. Honestly, some people, such as my son and I, are afraid to go online and face pros, Z-axis abuses, and just want wars wi
Bump for awesome idea. I've always thought this was a good idea, and find myself searching for hidden artifacts as a habit from some game long in the past. It's SO dull to hear "We've found a colonizable planet" over and over.... Same boring systems, same boring maps. Let the map descriptions finally MEAN something and make you want to play them all, for example: A long forgotten race lies dormant in this galaxy's nexus. Who will be the
I have a video of 918 corvettes attacking a massive TEC fleet and losing, but not before taking out it's Titan and 6 capital ships. How do I link it?
Novaliths WILL fire on you if you have a cease fire with a player. My friend and I had a cease fire, and his guns would rain shots on my planets and my guns on his. We signed a peace treaty to stop it and ended up ending the game with an allied victory :/
Just checking to see when/how often they do patches for the Betas. I see that they've fixed almost all of the listed bugs, and it would be great to see them implemented once a week. Those Novaliths are really OPd, and two of my friends have already quit playing because of the spam, and I'd like to see when they fix/if they fix them. Also be nice to have some of the other bugs fixed.
If you were to read the sticky, it would tell you to click ADD GAME in steam, add the serial number that is listed in your Stardock games information (not your CD key), and you'd be set. But that would be info you'd find out only if you read the sticky.
How about being able to arrange formation with preassigned buttons?
I had the AI build a SB. ONE hangar bay filled with FIGHTERS blew up the starbase!
My son and I were thinking.... Perhaps an ability to crash capital ships into planets would be a fun ability to have... destroy the entire planet's surface with the impact of one or two capital ships, leaving the surface radiated for a few minutes. Be a nice trick to use........ picture with me, if you will, a capital ship that, once it uses the ability, bursts into flames. The player then does his best to kill said capital ship before it finishes it'
Oh, definitely not a mod, straight vanilla. Reading that thread now, we can send the save game files from the two diff computers. Very reproducable from them.
My son and I were playing a medium size map against two AIs. About 7 hours into the game, we realized that we both were holding the same two planets. Really. Two different games were showing two different results. His Novaliths were firing on my planets on my computer, while on his computer they were fully powered and not firing at all. We check to make sure we were connected, it showed my ping and his. We
