definately do not buy upgrades many updgrades on weapons, especially online! start your battleball, i.e. illums, flak, aerias, mothership, halcyon, and rapture, adn just few guardians. play this startegy right, and you'll almost never loose more than a few ships each large encounter, if any.

in order for the mothership lv 6 ability to work, the cap ship that dies must be in the same grav well. say it was lv 4. when it dies, it takes that lv 4, and adds it to the level of another cap ship. so another cap ship you own gains 4 levels.
