it makes more sense to still be able to build transports and colony ships, just not be able to load them.
It may make more sense, but its a game doesnt have to be 100% realistic and it makes for much less micro. But if you do need it to make sense, think of it like this its a help wanted flyer saying "new business opening looking for new hires will relocate 6 tiles for free" Then

zero - you are right you could abuse far away travel by pulling troops from great distances. I think having supplies coming from cross galaxcy is a bit dumb. I'd prefer only pop and resources to be from immediate planets. Ballin - I think it would be cool if you could have a "migration" route. It would help immensely with population pressure and filling up new worlds. Especially since now planets output is based off population size. i would love to see that go

You can't very well throw all your resources into weapons to win, you still need to develop ship hulls to fit the huge lasers, miniaturization to get more bang for your ship, engines or your ships cant do anything, production or you will need to outright buy ships, economy to support all that, population to invade and militarization to successfully invade. It's always a gamble to cut corners and rush, you may make big strides early game then crumble over your overextended empire. That

yeah, this is a pain. I end up having to waste several turns sending the ship to the depleted planet to put the troops back then send it to another world to pick up then i can send it to the destination. I would like to see two things: 1 like gv2 you can determine how much population the ship is loaded up with to begin with 2 a slider to determine where the population is pulled from.

I like how your ships all move at once when you hit next turn. gv2 in the end game when you had miners trade ships war ships colony ships transports etc it took forever and eventually i just could not play large maps. it seems if you go off screen your ships auto move and you dont have to watch them. to quicken this can we just force them to the end of their move and not watch ships with over 20 moves go all the way across the galaxy? i realise i may miss ships pass sensor range but that woul

Just some feed back as a long time gv2 player. I like the new tech tree where you can specialist items like engines and weapons to have less mass or be cheaper to make. However, I really dont like the tech tree hold us back for the three tech periods. For me it takes away from specializing my race and forces me to make myself more balanced. It takes away from my freedom to play the game as I please. I hope this does not make it to the final release.

I have noticed a few times that my colony ship can not settle a habitable planet, and I have also not been able to invade a planet with no fleets. I have a saved game with both of these bugs present.

I am really not enjoying the approval system. I do like having an approval system, however the economic penalty I do not enjoy. It takes away from having specialist planets. Nothing can kill the buzz of colonizing a 50%+ research planet like having to devote a ton of markets to keep the people happy, or taking away from research towards the economic point of the triangle. On another level, why is econ so important to the populations happiness? If it is a man
