Best part of the movie (reviewing a Torian transport): "no, they didn't fill it ... (pfffft!)... losers!" Uhhhhm, Brad? Since you programmed the AI; it means that was you which you were talking about. S'ok man, we love ya anyway. But if it gets too bad, well they make drugs for that.

the ability to play games while sitting out on my deck on a nice summer evening more than makes up for that. Thats a pretty convincing argument really. I never really thought about the ability to simply sit outside with a laptop. While it wont make me run out and buy one, I have to say I love the sound of it. Sitting out on the deck.

In your post, you said this: "We have a mode where we can literally just sit back and watch the AI play against itself. Watching them wheel and deal and war is cool." Is this something that is available in the retail version? I can learn very well by losing, but I learn even better by watching others lose. Having the ability to watch the game play itself would be a great kind of a tutorial. Is it possible? Jon "i'd rather learn from somebody e

well if that's the case then you *should* publish that the game can be played on intel chipsets (from 852/855GM/GME onwards) because i reckon there's a market out there for laptop users and TBS games, *apart* from me that is \me raises hand You wanna know what kind of reaction I got in the comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.strategic newsgroup w

2) On the window that lets you rename/disband/change type of a rally point, add a "move" button, at which point clicking anywhere on the map or minimap moves the rally point to that location. Not as convenient as item one, but since this isn't something you'll be doing as often as scrolling the map, I don't think that's a major issue. Yeah, tha

I would like to a a 'Fourth' to the above: It seems there are 'left-hand' and 'right-hand' components? I have added things that curve down on the left side (think classic klingon cruiser from 'star trek'), but the same part curves up on the right side. Switching to another part from the box, gave me the downward sweeping part. I find it difficult to choose the correct part. Can you pair the parts in the list (two columns) to allow chosing r-hand/l-hand parts? I

I can confirm this behavior. Starting on "abilities" you can scroll up and down. There are graphical framing elements around that list as well as around other areas. Clicking on any other of 'economy', 'military', 'misc' or 'society' causes those framing elements, as well as the up/down buttons to vanish. Is this possibly related to graphics cards? I'm kinda at the low end of the scale. My specs (per dxdiag): Card na

In the game set-up screen, there are victory conditions: Research, Alliance, Cultural. They do not appear to be toggle-able. Is it planned to allow the player to only allow one, or two of the victory conditions? Is "conquest" (kill 'em all) an option? Should it be listed? The text description for "alliance victory" is truncated after the word 'lasting' and I did not see scroll arrows. Regards, JDS

Well knowing Brad & Co., they're probably more likely to ere on the side of caution and therefore list the requirements as being too high, rather than risk low-balling them.... Follow-up: Is it likely that the game will test the PC and come back with a diagnosis of whether the game will run or not? If so, it would be better to have the "fa

I've looked for this on the web page, and opened the forum threads that look to have any reference to graphics. So since I can't find it there, I am asking: What are the minimum graphics adapter specs that GCII will accept? If I missed the information, just flame me^W^Wtell me where to go and I'll go look for it. Thanks!
