Grayhaze: the only two people that i can imagine to fit your categories are Arhra and Chaninja. but those two are original artists whose work was also ported to WindowBlinds, so i could imagine they would be rather interested in doing their own stuff. i see also a little danger in here, because i think as soon something is done for visual styles a lot of people there consider it as some kind of public domain <

on OSX you can also run different themes for the OroborOSX window manager for XDarwin: http://wrench.et.ic.ac.uk/adrian/software/oroborosx/ probably there will be more to come. KDE has just been ported to OSX: http://apple.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=02/05/29/233236

hehe, sure they will all upgrade to a new warezed update of XP, wether they need it or not. but i do not think that will help that much, somewhere the skins have to be stored and all binary data can be hacked. or will microsoft remove the native skinning?

> it was just a matter of time. there aren´t that many Mac artists to rip, now it´s WindowBlinds... i mean people there are presenting wallpapers they extracted from a Mac *.sit file as their "conversions".

come on, Brazil was the far better team and if the goalkeeper of Turkey wouldn´t have played excellent they would have lost much higher. actually Turkey (as Italy or Uruguay) do not know the meaning of tackle either. their way are hidden fouls, so that makes the acting of Rivaldo not excusable but understandable.

currently those people are more into ripping MacOSX themes, but since there are not that many, it seems to be only a matter of time. > will get in contact with you then. on your skins: well crippling a skin is not a big problem for them

jafo: yes, it is definetly a shame, and it would not be the worst thing that could happen to skinning scene, if some of those rippers were taught the hard way. just look at this thread at Neowin (rippers paradise): http://www.neowin.net/bboard/showthread.php?s=4f66a2ed30964d4832994545a9f67243&threadid=28998&perpage=15&pagenumber=2

no need for a MacCustomize site. there are quite a lot of them around and Duality is not the only program that can change the look of OSX. here´s a link to the themes section of resexcellence just as an example: http://www.resexcellence.com/themes/ please note: besides the OS ports and the ChosenOS ports these themes are the originals not the (often crippled) StylesXP ports.

i downloaded the latest trial of WindowBlinds and i like it a lot better than previous versions. now i am working on my second skin, but my problems with SkinBuilder remain. i tends to crash every second time when i try to add an attribute or section. also it pretends to save my changes without any error message but just does not change the uis file so i end up doing most of the real changes in a text edi

thanks for all your info. i just downloaded the latest trial version and i have to say that there are significant changes for me here. the program really has improved on speed and resources. there is a little bug with transparency after switching skins but that is really a minor problem. so i try it now, looks like i will by satisfied. thanks for the improvements Stardock (did not think i would ever say this <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle"

actually KDE is the ugliest of all UNIX/Linux desktops. it really can´t compete on speed with BlackBox or FluxBox or on beauty with Enlightenment. KDE is the "Windows" of the UNIX/Linux community. click here if you want to see how the "different point of view" really looks: http://www.desktopian.org/e17/screenshots/e17-theme2.jpg http://images.deviantart.com/large/theme/enlightenment/Orange_Juice_DR16.png http://images.deviantart.com/large/theme/enlightenment/R_9X_DR16.png <

hi, i tried WindowBlinds in the past and it was really a mess on my computer, using a huge amount of resources and making my whole system unstable (was pretty buggy also when switching themes). i think what the software does is great and i heard that the latest version should be much lighter on resources now. i would like to try it again, but i doubt that it really improved under Win98SE. so before i install new software on my system i would like to hear if anybody uses Win
