i am not using mods when the planets are transparent, also i have a 4 gig flash drive which unless you only download the patch and reinstall it to sins it wont hold it, but i will look into it more.

the total lack of a wireless card, or wired internet I tried to link my desktop and lapotp with a cat5 cable but the connection has limited to no connection no matter what I do, allthough i do have the cables and could get internet if i could get the computers to connect. Also sins makes all my planets transparent is there a way to fix that (on my laptop), im thinking its a vid card issue

I have the problem of my desktop computer not able to go online at all. right now im on my laptop which manages sins (a miracle seeing it has a 32 MB video card) but lags on large battle or medeum battles with mods. Is there a manual way to update sins using copy pase and a flash drive.
