Sins is so very technical, providing a clear description of the technical details would be a boon to those wanting to progress in the game.
Totally, and I suppose it's also a liitle part of why the online players count is low. I remember when I was playing Sins at the start and I didn't really know about the forums. I was kinda knew to RTS, and I got crushed several times by the easy AI. In fact, depending if

Could help selecting maybe. :) However beware with the right click to give orders, I don't think you'd want it to be registered on press, or you won't be able to rotate the view anymore when you have a ship selected... (by the way SageWon if you read this I apoligize for having said you were wrong in the "long standing complaints" thread, ships phase jumping are the main problem and what I exposed doesn't happen all the time and is secondary...). I also have an idea th
I don't know, maybe they just forgot it until now. Either that, or they have a good reason (which I'd like to know) to have left it as is, otherwise I don't really understand why a universally supported change that would be implemented in probably less than five minutes doesn't make its way into a patch... Plus it would help balance a little. What are the "screwy squadron times" ?
What about the assaillant experience value ? Do you devs have a reason for not having changed that ?
I could suggest, if you feel like it and have the time, adding the experience value of each ship in the frigate comparison chart. :)
For TEC and Advent, the Wormhole navigation (tier 5) research times also do not correspond to normal times, they are too high (207 at normal game speed, when it should be 173 for tier 5). The Vasari one (tier 4) is fine. :)
Sure his chart is very nice to look at :) (and in no means was I saying it wasn't good, if it seemed like it ;) ).
Ok so it's just badken's chart that is wrong/out-of-date ;)
Hey thanks for this great chart ! :) However I'm wondering about something : the chart by badken says capital ships have a 75% modifier against capital armor, but your damage modifiers chart says 100%, and the next line (CapitalShipAbility) says 75% against caps. Either you swapped the 100 and 75 in these two lines or badken's chart is no longer true for this... I don't know really.
Yarlen and devs, would you be kind enough to check out the issue some people are experiencing with game speed going crazy (like 2 to 4 times normal, and here "normal" refers to the normal speed with "faster" settings) in multiplayer (ICO and private) ? Especially happens at start of games, not all the time, and at least 4 persons have been reporting this until now (maybe all the vets on ICO don't even notice it ^^). It seems to be some kind of lag compensation... Here are
I've also been experiencing crazy speeds on ICO but not only, also in private MP games. Annoying...
I've been experiencing two strange bugs since the hotfix : - A minor but funny one : I was playing an open teams AI game, and at one point I took one vasari enemy planet that had mines, and then the infocard for structures on the planet said the minefields had like 261% health (and the color was one we never see on infocards, light blue/green...). I tried to take a screenshot but I can't find it (I think it didn't work). It did not affect the rest of the game as far as I k
I think Yarlen simply was on his weekend and didn't check the thread yet ;)
Is it normal that on a locked teams game ennemy AIs offer me missions ? I find it quite strange... edit: They seem to give me only give credits/resources missions...
Nice! Thank you for still supporting this great game. Has this been adressed? https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/405271 Can't read anything about it in the changelog.
No that hasn't been addressed I think but Yarlen said that if it's not in another Diplomacy update it would be in Rebellion.
Would that be a little typo ? On the advent Cultural Integrity research infocard : "[...] allowing the envoy to half all bombing damage to a planet for a period of time."... Half ? Should be "halt" I think :).
Yep I see it :) No problem !
What? If you don't upgrade fleet supply your base is 100, so with the pact you have 115 fleet supply.
No, it reduces upkeep by 15% and adds 100 supply :). But the answer to Greg is very probably... No.
I don't see it yet :(. Restarted Impulse and computer just to see but it doesn't show up yet... Guess I have to wait a bit.
Hey Yarlen, is it for today ? :)
The game speeds up to compensate for computer processing speed differences over connections. I think that this is a feature, not a bug.
How could it be a feature to speed up the game if one computer is faster ? I agree slowing down is ok (and it happens), to enable the slowest one(s) to catch up if they can no longer process at the desired game speed. But speeding up ? This is wrong. I have seen this kind of t
Any idea when it's gonna be available ? [e digicons]:)[/e]
Another small thing, I would like to be able to see the time of the game without having to deduce from the autosaves or watching the save list... Or maybe I missed something, please tell me if it's the case...
Thinking about it, why are the health bar indicators on the empire tree and when you press down Alt always proportioned something like 3/4 hull and 1/4 shields ? It seems strange to me that they don't represent the actual proportion of hull and shields of the particular ship. Especially for Advent ships, that generally have at least as much shield points as hull points (and the Guardian's shields are something like 3 times its hull), I think it would be more readable.
Hello ! I know I'm late but I would like to add my little contribution : First, the empire tree jumping around thing, this I remember, some time ago when I was playing on a kinda small screen pc, was really the one thing I found the most annoying about this game. Well maybe the lag was more annoying, but you could somehow avoid it by not playing too big games... I remember I stopped some games because I just couldn't manage to play with this thing jumping around at each click
Yes that's weird, it came back to 12 (which is not right) in beta 4 while in beta 3 it had been brought back to 10 (which is normal) and the text didn't mention it... It really is supposed to be 10.
