I also noticed that IGN put this trailer on their front page, which is really nice. More publicity is always helpful, especially for a small company like stardock. This appears to be a brilliant marketing move. :)

Reply to $39.99? in Sins Rebellion

I have to admit that I don't quite see the problem. Soase is already quite inexpensive. Trinity is now $20, or about $30 for a phisical copy from Stardock. Rebellion will be $40 new. These prices are pretty low compared to other AAA titles. As for the "loyal fans" who think they should pay less than new players, consider that Rebellion has been in development for at least a year now, so there are clearly significant costs there, regardless if development started from the foundation laid b

Random quote:
Great interview!
I completely agree, it was a veritable flood of exciting revelations. I am glad to hear the capital ships are being rebalanced. At least I will feel better about the game's balance.
Why so many TEC shots? >.> I want to see the OTHER Advent Titan! Epic screenshots regardless.
Well, they can't give everything away in one dazzling reveal. I personally don't mind a gradual reveal over the next few months. I heartily agree that the screen shots are awesome. Wow! Let me repeat: WOW! Amazing interview. I think Rebellion is really shaping up, and it it good that it is not being rushed. I like the idea of new skyboxes, and I hope the new "kinds" of planets means a few new skins, and perhaps a new type besides the "Occupation victory" planet. Even if the new planet type has little to no gameplay value, it will still be fun. I would guess something a bit larger than an asteroid, but smaller than a planet. I think that would fill a gap

Very tidy tidbits of information. It should be quite interesting to play the new victory conditions, although perhaps the regular "deathmatch" mode will continue to be best. Variety is a good thing in this case. Changes to culture should be interesting as well. Information about rebellion continues to slither out of the developers cave. I am very happy with what has been released so far, and think Rebellion will be worth it. I am guessing it will not be released in Q1

Hm. I bought a hard copy, installed it from disk, updated with impulse and had no real problems with multiplayer. I did send an email to support because I had trouble registering my reg code. The code on the back of the manual didn't work, but after I sent the email I discovered another reg code on my stardock account or something. After that I had no problems, so it might have already been fixed for some people. I hope I didn't cause tech support too much trou

Well, Yarlen Just mentioned that the Q&A round two for Rebellion has been answered. I guess RTSGuru is now sitting on it, which means we should soon have more information. It is also nice that the developers post on the forum. I am content, even if new information is sparse. Thanks for posting, Yarlen! :) PS: very funny, Zubaz

Well, it has been three weeks since the deadline for questions (December 18th). I think this is good news because it means that Stardock is planning to release some important information in this second Q&A. I am looking forward to it. EDIT: The deadline was December 18th. Questions were sent to the developer on the 19th.

Hello, I am SlammerIV, which is the same nick I use on ICO. You may also see SlammerV on ICO. He is my only smurf and is a buddy who plays on the same computer. Maybe for Rebellion we will get two copies and play simultaneously. Unfortunately, we also need another good computer, but I digress. I notice that very few actual new players are posting on the thread, perhaps two or three. The others are forum regulars multiposting with their traditional banter. But I am not complaining.

I guess without a facebook, twitter, or RTSGuru acount, you cannot post questions. I wonder, however: 1) I have heard that a regular game in Rebellion starts with the player as a vanilla facion (TEC, Advent, or Vasari) and at some point must (or should, to remain competative perhaps) choose to become the Rebel or Loyalist subfactions, which have access to the unique Titans. What triggers this decision? Is is time based, or is there a balance between choosing early or later? (Perh
We have seen the amount of content in Rebellion in descriptions from the devs / PR. For those of us who have been playing Sins for a long time, we aren't getting all that much new content (significant, yes, but not a while lot). On the other hand, those who haven't played Sins before are getting a ton of new content, it being an entirely new game for them. That's why some of us think there should be more of a disc

To all the people complaining about the "excessive" cost of Rebellion I would like to say: you bought Sins or its expansions or Trinity for a price you obviously thought was worth it. You will make the same decision about Rebellion. Now, without even seeing the amount of content in Rebellion, you are complaining about the price. I know we would all like to have cheap games, but games require programming. Programming requires programmers, which require money to hire. Now, I just bought&nb
