I agree.... It's been so long since I played that I assumed I was doing it wrong. (especially since forbidden worlds slows down colonisation and gives you more to invest in infrastructure wise) But the hard AI got absolutely stomped on. I find this really strange because one website advises that the best way to learn to deal with a pirate raid is to boom economically at the beginning, ensure the AI gets the first pirate raid, and then see what it does to defend agai

Well I have Rebellion, (and when I bought it came with the Diplomacy/Entrenchment expansions). It seems to have been an upgrade on that, because the first pirate raid completely paralyzed me the first time, and completely paralyzed the AI during the next game.

Hi I've seen numerous posts advising players to make a map which places the AI somewhere that they can't get at the player (this is for achievement farming) However in the map building tool, it doesn't seem like you can do this... it just seems to randomly generate the map from the parameters you give it. Have pirates just gained a severe boost in the last month or so? First pirate raid of the game, and it is a guarded level fleet! It seems much larger than I'm used to as the first pirate raid...
It is done. Well I've read that it slows down game play a little - I guess that won't matter much as I mainly only play singleplayer.
Hey Because of the Steam Summer Sale, I'm considering getting Forbidden Worlds The question is should I? Are you able to disable the DLC (even if you just disable it "in game") to play without its effects? Are the additions to the game worth the money? Please and thank you :)
