Quantum computer is not yet ready for some serious computing at this stage, but if you define computing as mere number crunching and arithmetics, then yes it is ready, it can do way better than what the normal computer can. but if you would define computing as how you would use it like you use your computer now, i am sad to announce that it is a no. i would also like to mention that there won't be an AI of terminator scale any time soon either, the reason being, AI can only get as smart a
Compare that to some of the other tech trees (like the Thalans or the Yor) which are missing some very important tech routes (like for example farming or superior governments). Technically, the Yor get something better than government techs. The government techs at maximum level provide a +30 bonus to economy, and you have to have an election every so often (which can give you penalties if you fail). However, the Yor get
So you took advantage of the fact that the disease weakened them... and now you're mad because they're weak? I'm not sure I entirely follow this. At any rate, as far as I've ever seen, the galactic disease is not bugged. It's more likely that the Terrans collapsed because of your invasions and spies. (Incidentally, this event was the galactic disease, not the plague).
-1!
no not really.
I would also like to mention i didn't touch any of their core world during my invasion, i merely took the planets that they invaded and annexed from Drengin and Yor.
So i was playing as a Drath Legion a day ago in Galv2 twillight of arndor on a huge map setting with five other race in Obscene mode, no tech trade option enable, slowest possible tech speed. Initially i wasn't able to do much in game because my civilization was basically going broke because of how the population for Drath don't expand as fast as other race, and everyone just outright out-teched me. so i started manipulating the Drengin to go to war with Korath and Korath
bad guy rules the world! even in the GALV2.
Not really. I usually play as Drengin, so eating one of them at my dinner every week is like a everyday thing. Even if i don't eat them, they eventually crawl to my video window and beg me to do it anyway.
i think the reason why some AI don't trade certain tech no matter what is solely dependent on the timing and relationship issues. AIs are more likely to trade tech that they initially unwilling to trade with you, if you are 1. his/her ally 2. high trade ratio/ high diplomatic contrast 3. the timing of the trade is way off the hook that the tech at that point is pretty much obsolete compare to other techs that you have. i have found however, if you completely decimate all AI's military
Yea. Drengin all the way, nothing will go wrong if you conquer all the AI planets, and then use their population to fuel your death furnace.
maybe some event happened that inhibited the production on that planet.. did you hmm enslave some native folks or just let some dangerous thing loose to irritate your colonist?
without proper graphics, i am afraid this really isn't going to go anywhere.
you should play on the obscene mod with Thalan Empire as enemy. assuming they get to expand properly, they will wipe the floor with you any time of the day. :D
i will probably try StarDrive, but the japanese bear shogun really turns me off. i would really prefer those aliens don't mimic any earth cultures, and game that mimics earth cultures in obvious way is just simply not fun. like the Naga Race in Might and Magic Hero VI. i liked it before naga campaign, then hating it after.
didn't think Akilians had the gut to produce that many starships. i usually wipe them out right after i get my planetary invasion tech.
ascension crystal is just another way to troll the AI into declaring war with you. :P imagine in a galaxy where every race is friendly or close with you, and none of them wants to attack you. you don't have a lot of planet and you direly needs to expand. you know you have high tech and you know that you can roll over any particular AI easily. you also know that if you declare war, other race will think badly of you because you are trying to be a war monger, so what do you do? you have the
with IP you can basically vamp AI's econ. :P 100 billion credits at a time. hehehe
Military starbase is designed for one single purpose, to enhance your own existing starship within its area of influence or reducing the effectiveness of enemy ships, aside from that, it really does nothing. i almost never construct military starbase during my game unless i play as Yor Collection with Super Isolationist ability. Just put up a slow module and see all enemy ships near your military starbase grind to a halt. 1 parsec per turn is pretty sick, it will give you ton of time to mass
try it again with Drengin on Obscene mode or higher, and try to piss off Drath. now that WOULD be un-winable..
Yes they are a bit over powered. I don't like to play drath, but if you piss them off, all AIs are coming after you... and losing is pretty much imminent at that point...
Agreed. They took my Class 31 planet and tried to swindle me to not attack them! not to mention they demolished all my ultimate diabolic research facility on that planet right after that stunt. that got me pretty steamed, i was playing on obscene mode and that took me forever to fill that planet with research facility as Drengin.
