Yup, that picture does indeed look like ole Enterprise B! @Pirhana: Good point. But seeing that I already have not enough time to play Civ IV enough to figure that AI out... And if Stardock keeps up their record of "patches" like for GalCiv I, the AI will definitely change and learn. Especially if Frogboy keeps analysing the Metaverse's top players.

I for one welcome the ability to do stuff like that as easy as that (long live XML!). One of the biggest "flaws" of GalCiv for me was always the planet names. Some of those are just a bit too wacky. I like to name 'em myself, so this is really helpful for me. Thanks, CaretFarmer!

Has any one of you ever played a game where you thought the AI was better than another sentient via multiplayer and not just because of cheating? GalCiv I for Windows was a game like that to me. I often found myself thinking "that AI is damn clever". Sometimes I suspected Brad of manipulation games from afar. I guess the many updates and analysis of Metaverse-games really worked in beefing the AI up, it got better and better. I eventually lost intrest,

As a long time strategy game player (from a game called Nectaris to C&C, MOO over everything Civ to Dawn of War and the like) I got to agree whole heartedly with Frogboy! How often have I wished for a better single player experience in games. Call me a sociopath, but I LIKE single player! It's what games were made for in the olden days. And I really admire developers who care for the immersiveness of the game experience for users, who care for little details like ship design or cool quotes for t

As always, Stardock's information policy is top notch! This is why I came back as a loyal customer even if GalCiv I was beginning to get on my nerves after some time and even if I already haven't enough game time on my hands for Civ IV... The dedication you folks but into keeping the fans up to date and the incredible features you guys crank out with very single update is worth it! Finally a game company who cares for their product AFTER it's gone gold

Hee hee... That was a good reply there! Well, I guess it comes down to the two distinct ways of having starships in SciFi... You can have all (even small) ships equipped with hyperspace / FTL / warp drives like in Star Trek, Stargate etc. or you can have basically only real cap ships and transporters with that capability while most fighters only have sublight drives like for e

Well, thanks for the links. I'm not interested in localized versions. In fact, one of the key advantages of electronic distribution for me is that I can get all games in english (which is sometimes a pain here, even with some retailers who specialise in importing games and stuff). I just always like the original version better (no obscure translations and so forth). I was very glad I figured out how to extract the english soundfiles out of those Instal

Brad, I had trouble with SDC last night... I couldn't log in (tried it about 10 times for about 2 hours). Of course, it could be that this has nothing to do with the server-failure, but I thought, I report it anyway.

That's the way computers go, isn't it.... Just when u think it's all working, something crashes and u're back to zip-zero... Happens to everyone of us, doesn't it? Well, I cannot offer my help, being a poor uni student and having no contacts to IT pros at all, but I want to tell u that I feel your pain either way! Good wishes from Germany! Get WinCust back up as soon as ya can, coz it rocks! Keep it up, Frogboy!! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/hot.gif" border=0 ALIG
